She felt dizzy. Her eyesight was filled with complete blackness. Her body felt heavy. She was lying in a fetal position. The last thing she knew was stumbling in front of a grand oak tree in a forest and falling unconscious. She felt a weight press down on her body when she willed herself to move a bit. The room she saw was closing in on her, becoming smaller and smaller until she felt squeezed, and fell unconscious again.
Her head pounded again like a drum. She was groggy. She needed to stay conscious for a bit. Blearily opening her eyes, she realized that she was floating in a garden. A beautiful garden all covered in flowers that stretched for as far as she could see. She realized it was early morning and the sun was just beginning to rise. She stretched her neck painfully to one side and took in her surrounds. Again, all she could see was flowers, in every color stretching in every direction.
In the distance, as her eyes adjusted to the light, she could see a figure walking towards her. The figure, a lady, dressed in an elegant white gown started to approach the girl. The girl gazed curiously at the figure, who just smiled at her and placed her hands on her. The girl felt warmth seep through her body, her limbs felt like they were regrowing, her muscles were relaxing. She felt limp at first, but then suddenly realized she could stand with ease and stood up next to the figure.
The figure graced over the girl with an extraordinary height. Her elegant white gown billowed in the small breeze that was blowing gently through the garden. Her long flowing blond, almost white hair sparkling in the sun, which was now almost fully risen in the sky. Her facial features were that of kindness. Her eyes sparkled in a humorous manner, catching the light at a certain angle and giving off a twinkle.
Not uttering a word, the figure guided the girl across the garden to small opening in a tree. The tree was the opening to a forest city, of the name Nys'ril. The girl stared curiously at the figure, wishing she would speak to her about what in the heck was going on. The figure smiled at her, and motioned for her to sit down. The girl cautiously sat down and waited.
The figure spoke. It was a very sing-song, soft, melodic voice. It gave the girl a bit of hope and security that she was alright.
“Greetings, my child. Welcome to the Realm of Lost Dreams. My name is Aelaedil. Can you tell me your name, child?”
The girl closed her eyes and willed her voice to come out. She was surprised to hear her voice flowed and was not hoarse.
“Marilira.” she said confidently. She felt at peace in the presence of Aelaedil, a peace she hadn't felt for a long time.
Aelaedil smiled broadly at Marilira. She felt strongly about the potential of this girl. Of all the people that passed through the Realm of Lost Dreams, Aelaedil could feel a grand intelligence and courage coming from her.
Nodding, Aelaedil began talking to her. She explained how everyone had a role or a purpose in life, and it was her destiny to weave her own future with her own actions. All actions have consequences and that Marilira should trend carefully in who to trust and befriend.
With wise words of advice, she told Marilira, “Your knowledge of the world is sufficient enough for you to survive. Go forth and add fruit to the ever-growing tree of Life.” Aelaedil waved her hands as she concentrated in forming a blazing gateway of light. Her hands glowed and vibrated as a brilliant gateway of light opened up before Marilira.
Aelaedil whispered to her, “Enter my child, the time has come. I will always be with you.” She motioned for Marilira to step through. Closing her eyes, Marilira stepped through portal, awaiting what was next in her life.
