I like this! You should do very well in the contest. I like the silhouette of the girl on the cover. It adds an air of mystery and suspense, (even though I have no idea what the story is about). This is important for a cover because it helps give readers a good first impression (even though we are told time and time again never to judge a book by it's cover ;) ) I love love LOVE the font and colour scheme for the spine.
My only critique is that the font on the back cover is a bit hard to read. Try playing around with different fonts, colours, and maybe try a bigger font size, so that it's more legible.
An all around lovely cover! I hope you do well in the contest! :)

Hmm... Should the proportions for the front and back covers be the same? Because the way you have it now, it looks like the front cover will be long horizontally, and the back will be vertical... *shrug*

That said, I like the girl's silhouette.

Something that I think detracts from the quality of this cover is the font. It's a little hard to read in places, especially on the back cover. The other thing about the back is that the picture you're using - the scroll - has been blown up to the point where it's pixelly and less crisp than it should be, which makes it look kind of amateurish. Especially when the text is laid over the places where the paper should be folding, and places where the paper ends completely. And the text itself... Did you mean to have only one or two words every other line? Because it looks a bit odd to me, like your formatting got messed up somehow.

I like the picture you used for the front cover, but I think that there are still a couple of things you could do to give this book cover a more crisp, professional feel.

Good luck with the contest. :)
