Act 1 – scene 2/4
Performance time: Scene 1 - 8minutes (entire play 60mins).

Rob –

Morning … love… hmmm
*Giggles a little to himself*
I’d ask you if you wanted some tea ‘n’ toast – ooh! I alliterated.
*Laughs*
But, erm, of course you can’t eat what I’d end up making for you through a DVD; unless they come up with taste’a’vision… which I don’t see happening too… soon.

* Awkward silence – scans the room*
Hope I didn’t disturb you too much with the snoring! LOL…
*mumbles*
“Lol”?

I don’t even know why I asked you whether or not the snoring bothered you or not – it’s getting edited out… hmm.

I’ve to go to work in a little bit, but I just though I ought to say “good morning” to you – Good morning!
*Gestures*
Oh! My job – well I’m a web solutions and development consultant. I’m self-employed and I work from home, but I have an office so it’s all very formal and professional.
In Fact! I’m working on a website for a fitness company, so I’ve got all of their literature lying about the office, so I think I’ll get to a gym and try it all out. Get ready for Rob the super stud by the time you’ve watched this DVD.

*Pause*

Well, realistically you might not get hold of this DVD for about three weeks… Perhaps not long enough to become Brad Pitt. Women Like the Pittster I take it… hmm.

*Coughs*

I’ve got a few videos with Brad Pitt in it, he’s quite a good actor – I’d rather have his wife though!
*Laughs*
But of course!
*Urgently corrects himself*
You’re; whoever you are, much better than Angelina Jolie… She’s…Ugly.

*Pause*
Anyway my love, must be off to the grind. See you later on.

* Stands up, walks over to the bed and straightens out the sheets before heading stage right *
*Lights out*

Three words my friend:

taste’a’vision

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I freakind died at that part! Oh my gosh! This is hilarious. I read the first part, I think I remember commenting on it, but I mean I may not have. I really don't remember the last few days for some reason haha.

Although, I do remeber reading the first part which was also funny. I really like this character. I really want you to stay true to him and who he is. If you are having trouble with your character you can always make a character chart or go to the character group.

Um, towards the end I got that this was supposed to be a dating movie? Like his application video or soemthing? If not, you may want to clariffy.

Seriously though, this is great. I dunno if you have more posted or what but I definatly want to hear more. I love it.

In the words of the Illustrious Tim Gunn: "Make it Work" [because I love it!]

I love this character! His voice is coming across so clearly and his sense of humour is to die for. I assume that he's making some sort of video diary for a dating service or something? I would love to see this live -- I think it would be even funnier! I'm wondering where the real conflict is going to come ... as amusing as it is to listen to Rob natter away to a camera about being a nobody, I presume something significant is going to happen to him over the course of these five days? I have no idea what it is, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

My only real critique at this point is to watch where you capitalise letters -- only for proper nouns and at the start of sentences. But then again, that's just from a reading standpoint and I tend to zoom in on trivial little nitpicks like that.

Looking forward to the next scene!

Taste`a`vision`????? I fell out of my chair laughing when I read that!
Your character has a great sense of humor, and the voice you gave him comes through nice and clear.

You Can make it all go away
The pain the suffering
The Hurt You Put her through
Let you won't;
You can't
So for every love She knows
Another stich she sews

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
