I don't know exactly where my mother is, but something would feel different about that day, and eventually I'd remember. I would have a mini celebration for her by myself.

Let him get close before throwing a dagger at him, hoping it will hit somewhere that will make him double over in pain. Once that is achieved, I would run at him and grab the axe, using it to a) intimidate him, or b) lop his head off. Probably b. I'd tip his body off the cliff and then I'd walk off silently gloating.
