Andi - Head of the Caravaan

I had sent another letter to Headquarters. We were coming to pick up the children in three days - that was final.

*Sorry it's short, but now we need children and leaders and all. I say let's not post for a little while and recruit because we need more people!*

I set up a post in the Discussion Thread - so if we need to talk about the plot or anything - there's the place for it!

Name: Leanne (goes by Anne)
Age: 20
Race: Animal Hybrid; arctic wolf
Gender: female
Appearance: as a human: tall and curvy and has thick, almost white-blonde hair and sky blue eyes, with light blue tattoos on her left arm and shoulder; as a wolf: a huge wolf that is white with bluish streaks in her shoulder and neck ruffs, with sky blue eyes
History: No one knows much about her, aside from she is a loner and very reserved. She doesn't seem to trust many humans, much less other wolves. But maybe, with some love and care, her frozen heart can defrost...
Other: up for love

Sorry I haven't posted! I wasn't allowed on my computer.

Emily
Second in Command of Caravaan

I was so tired, and it didn't help that Andi woke me up. I went back to my bed and climbed back in.

I worried about Allie's leg. I wondered if it would get better. I looked at Allie and drifted off to sleep.

Sorry it's so short!

*Hey Face Engine, I forgot to ask you if you wanted to be head animal/animal hybrid. Do you?*

*seriously people, we have a discussion thread for this*

Allie

"But Annddiiiiii.. Why can't I get out of bed?" Allie demanded.

"Because, your still too weak, and your leg is still messed up," Andi replied.

Allie huffed in her pillows. She was in her bed in the sleeping vehicle.. Andi was in the bed across from hers and she was sitting propped up with a laptop, typing away. Allie wished that Petey would come back. She really liked him, more than any of the other animals she had met.

Allie pondered how she was able to actually heal herself. She was a child, a five year old, yet she was able to sustain the energy to be able to perform a human miracle.

"How was I able to heal myself?" Allie pondered out loud.

"Obviously, Saint Nick has a plan for you," I told Allie who was complaining that she wanted to get out of bed. Even if she was well I wouldn't let her outside for sure. It was too dangerous with a adult or not.

How's the patrol, Anne?

Fine. Nothing bothering us lately, but making sure that bear or any other animal doesn't come close.

Come inside and rest. You're getting up early to watch as we make repairs.

The wind whistled as she opened the door. I made the heat in the room go up a little, just to make sure that Allie wouldn't get anything while recovering.

"Hey, Anne!" Allie looked happy to have someone else to talk to.

Anne wasn't in the mood to talk, ever, "Um, hey kid." She walked to her bunk and changed. I got up to turn off the lights, and as I did that, I opened the window that separated the driver's cabin from the sleeping quarters.

"Go to sleep, all of you. Especially you Allie." She pouted, but one stern look was all it took to make her obey. I climbed into the window, plopped myself on the passenger's seat and shut the window. Emily told me to close the curtain, it might annoy the other leaders.

As I did, I spoke my thoughts to Emily, "Do you think the crew is ready for this responsibility? I mean we have these kid's lives at steak, and if anything goes wrong..."

"It will be fine, you trained them well." She turned to me and read my thoughts, "Andi, she'll be fine, all Allie needs to do is heal. We put her in a splint, and we just need to let her body do the rest."

I nodded. Tonight was fairly calm. Only a few more days until the kids come. I still had my doubts.

We sat there silently, just being there for each other. Emily for me, and me for Emily. She had a way with silence.

Allie

Suddenly, Allie sat upright in bed. Something wasn't right. There were tiny pings bouncing off the Caravan walls.

"Andi!" Allie whimpered.

Andi didn't respond.

Those pings became louder and louder, until it seemed it was raining large rocks, only that the rocks were raining from the sides.

"ANNDDII!!!!"

Allie struggled out of her covers and plopped onto the floor. Allie half crawled, half limped to Andi's bedside. She shook Andi awake,

"Andi, I think we're being shot at."

Since it seems you're still recruiting...

Name: Steven "Stevey"

Age: 14

Race: Kid from South Pole destined for North pole

Gender: Male

Appearance: Wispy blonde hair, very light grey-blue eyes with noticeably long, light eyelashes, and tall enough to hit his head a lot at 6' 1". Loose limbed in a careless way, well-muscled, bears resemblance to a professional swimmer with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. A very pointed face... think elfish.

Personality: The easiest way to describe Stevey is childish; in no way would he consider himself mature- at least on the outside. He gets along very well with almost everyone, and little kids tend to love him because he's fun. A little spastic and fun-oriented, which makes him very excited for the trip. Likes to get in trouble and live on the edge, but he's a little smarter than he seems.

History: Stevey was about 9 or 10 when the world froze (is that alright?) and it's really bummed him out. See, when I mentioned he was built like a swimmer, it was because that used to be his favorite thing to do- ever. Swimming in solid ice? Not so easy. He still hopes that he will be able to sometime, but he doesn't see how. For a while, he couldn't figure out what to do, but it made him start involving the kids in his schemes instead of going off by himself, so maybe it was for the best. Since Stevey heard about the Christmas Caravan, he's been eagerly awaiting it's arrival- and more importantly, it's departure.

To be dropped off at the North Pole

Sorry for taking so long to answer, I've been busy today.

I would be happy to be head animal, although I'm not sure if other animals/animal hybrids would be happy to take orders from a mere pigeon! At least, if I were, for example, a lion, I would have major issues with following some stupid child-loving pigeon.
But then, that could make the story more interesting.
I refuse to acknowledge the existence of this signature.

***Um...wow. Someone explain what is going on. This whole thread is totally random and unorganized. Don't be so choppy in your writing and focus more on transitions: how you get from one plot to another. Okay? In the meantime, I'm going to try and figure this stuff out; if I can't, I'll PM someone.***

Name: Alexandria "Alex" Jones

Age: 13

Race: Human Child

Gender: Female

Appearance: Here. Alex has brown, wavy hair and dark blue eyes. Her skin is tanned and she's normal height for her age. Her clothes are often mix-marched and layered.

History: Alex's mother died giving birth to her younger brother, Thomas, who also died a few days later. Her father never had time for her while trying to pay the bills to raise and feed her and her other two older brothers, Kyle and Cody. Alex was put up for adoption when she was two. The family that took her in beat her and abused her whenever she was around, so she learned not to be around. She began living on the streets on London when she was six, and met and befriended an old storyteller who eventually took her in. They moved from place to place until the world iced over, when Alex was sent down to the South Pole. She has no idea what happened to the storyteller and desperately wants to find out.

Other: Heading for Barcelona. Her ability is to bring the spoken word to life. If she reads aloud from a passage of a book, she can 'bring it to life' for as long as she wants. Possibly up for love. Ask first.
Be the cartoon heart. Light a fire, light a spark. Light a fire, flame in my heart. We'll run wild, we'll be glowing in the dark.
