Auggie-
I looked around my new surroundings, standing cautiously. No longer was I seated in the cafe with Lucille, but instead surrounded by some sort of gray nothingness, a black ring of fire circling me. A lone figure stood a few feet away.
"Who...where am I?"
The figure chuckled, an unsettling and familiar sound. I felt my throat, but the sound had not come from me.
I looked closer. The person looked exactly like me. Perhaps a bit older, and was dressed in much older clothing, but he was me nonetheless.
"I can't tell you where you are for the simple fact I don't know myself," a voice that wasn't my voice said, a ghost of a smile on the face that wasn't mine.
"Who are you?" I demanded harshly. "What am I doing here?"
His smile widened. My answer was brought in a wave of pain that took me to my knees. I gasped.
"Recieving the memories that are true to you," Rekhyt said.
