((Lucille))
The deafening screech of tires tossed Lucille out of her bed. Her jolt took her to the forest floor, it was dark now. She tried to recall something she knew she had to recall but to no avail. She pushed herself up and glanced around. The street nearby showed a car that had smashed into the light pole.
Lucille ran to the car and found a man already there, "Is everyone alright?"
"What happened?" Lucille called out, reaching the man. He looked about her age, twenty give or take a few years.
The man turned, "I was on the roof and I heard the crash. I came to see if anyone was hurt. I'm Auggie."
"Lucille." she replied.
Lucille went to the car and pried the door open. A man sat inside, his head scratched from the impact but he was still conscious.
"Sir? Are you alright sir?" Lucille asked, unbuckling the man. Auggie took Lucille's arm and moved her out of the way. He picked the man up and out of the car. The paramedics had come by then and were looking him over. One paramedic came over and talked to Lucille and Auggie about what had happened. they told their story and got out of the way.
"What odd circumstances to meet by, Lucille." Auggie declared, leaning against the brick apartment house behind him.
Lucille smiled and nodded, "Indeed."
Auggie looked her over, "You seem awfully familiar. I know I've seen you before; I can't place where..."
With the end of the sentence came another clash of glass as it broke. A girl burst through a window a building down. She faltered but stood and started running.
"What odd circumstances indeed. Was she bleeding?" Auggie asked as they ran to the spot the girl jumped out of.
Lucille arrived first, "Yeah, there's blood here. She's lucky she was on the first floor."
Auggie nodded, looking at the window, "We should find her. She looked pretty hurt."
Auggie took off in the direction the girl ran, Lucille followed.
"After all this is over I think we should go get some coffee."
Lucille laughed a light, tinkling laugh, "Perhaps."
