Elemental RPG

Hey all! I was looking for an Elementals RPG, and I couldn't find one, so I decided, why not make one? I hope you'll join!

OK, so the gist of it is, 8 ordinary teenagers find out they have extraordinary powers when they are transported to another world.
When they get to this new world, they find that they are needed to defeat an evil king who wants to wipe out magic forever. Then they are all given gifts that help them control their powers, until they have mastered them. They are helped and taught by two mentors, one male and one female.

After these characters are taken, anybody can make up any character. Just please, only these 8 elementals. Thanks!

Now, I know you're thinking, this is gonna end up just like EVERY OTHER element RPG. Well, it doesn't have to. I find that these things die because everyone uses the same characters over and over, just changing things like age or name.
Why not make them really original? Water doesn't have to be soft and calm, Fire doesn't have to have an awful temper.
My character (if this thing gets started) has the power of Light. Light is usually some sweet little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.
The thing is, my character is a moody teenage guy, and he's not even sure if he wants to be on the side of the Light, or if he even has any Light in him.
Now, not all characters have to have personality crisis, but why not make them original, and different? Have fun!

Element: Fire
Personality: Sweet, but with a major temper.
Weapon/Gift: She can completely in close herself in fire. She can also control fire without it being on or around her body. Like if there is a fire near she can make it move.
History: Orpahned, that's all I know.
Additional info: She doesn't really care what others think about her and she has a huge temper.

Name: Twili (I know its a wierd name)

Element: darkness

Personality: he is silent and timid. He prefers to be alone

Weapon/Gift: He controls the darkness. Like he can make you go blind. A powerful dark ora surrounds his body. Creating a natural shield. He can shape the ora into anything. Swords shields long tentacles- anything! Also he can create shadow minions.

History: He is a happy boy. But his was cast aside for having this strange power. People fear him and now he is totaly sad. The girl in his picture is his sister- who tried to kill him.

Here's my character:

Name: Haven Noah Jens
Age: 15
Element: Light
Personality: Quiet. Kinda emo. He doesn't talk if he doesn't have to, and the only time he really feels comfortable is when he's singing or playing music. He's really a tortured soul, like all musicians.
Weapon/Gift: He can heal, although it drains him physically and emotionally. He glows, of course, and he has a light in his soul that repels dark creatures. He can call creatures of light (unicorns, centaurs, angels-like starwars angels-etc.) to him. That's all he knows at first, but I'm planning something else for him. *insert evil grin here*.

History: He was adopted as a baby from a teenage mother with a strange past, into a wonderful family. He looks nothing like his family, but that has never troubled him. He knows nothing of being adopted. When he was nearly 14, his baby sister (who was 7 at the time) was killed in a car crash. They were very close, and this has traumatized him. He kind of retreated in on himself, making a wall around his heart that not even his parents, who love him dearly, can breach.
Additional info: He dresses like a semi-emo (not goth, and he doesn't cut himself. he's more of an emo without all the negative stuff, except for the attitude). He plays piano, guitar, bass and saxaphone. He writes songs and sings them. It's his only way he expresses himself, because he's not too fond of talking.
His favorite song is Memories by Within Temptation, and he learned to play and sing it for his sister's funeral. He sounds a bit like The Beatles/Tamas Wells (think Valder Feilds) when he sings. His voice is beautiful. He likes doing different accents, his favorites being Russian and British. You hardly ever hear him talking in his regular, North Carolian accent.

Name: Gregory Halbit
Age: 15
Element: Air
Appearance: 5'7", darkly tanned, black hair, bright blue eyes.
Personality: Pretty unpredictable, loves a good joke, but will go out of his way to help someone.
Weapon/Gift: He can fly, and can control/create anything from a hurricane to a gentle breeze. But if he can't do something he's not afraid to ask for help.
History: He's had a average life but his parents personality's are basically the opposite of his.

Oh, I forgot to add. Haven blames himself for his sister's death. He was driving with her in the car, without a license, after his parents told him not to (he was a bit of a rebel before her death). He was goofing off (he loved to make her laugh), and he missed a turn, and ran head on into another car. She was killed instantly. He blames himself, because he was the one driving. His parents have told him over and over that it wasn't his fault, but he can't bring himself to believe them.
Sorry, I forgot to put that in the bio. Oh well.
BTW, I'm gonna be leaving Thurday for spring break, and won't be back till saturday. So we're gonna probably have to wait till then to start, (or we can start now and I can catch up), cause unless I can get to a cafe or somewhere w/ wifi, I'm not gonna have internet. Sorry!
