Rydia

"Who's Yggdrasil?" Rydia wondered, squeezing Veemon gently as he made his way over.

"Not who but what," Jake replied. "I think it's some sort of supercomputer. Someone grab the egg and we'll head back to base."

"But what about the other digimon? We can't just leave them under that thing's control, can we?" Salamon wondered.

"We don't have a choice," Akira noted. "We can't stop them all but if we can find out more about this Yggdrasil we might be able to help." Renamon nodded in agreement and Luna bent down to collect the digi-egg.

"Ready to go," she confirmed.

Garurumon had degenerated back to Gabumon once the fight was over. Jake grabbed his digivice and called Haruka. "Mission complete, ready for evac."

"I'm sending a team to pick you up. Stay where you are."


Sampson and Kudamon were waiting to greet them in the briefing room once they got back. "Good job, Squad D. You have defeated Myotismon. Did you find out what was causing the digimon to act the way it did?"

"At first we thought it was just a renegade digimon," Jake explained, "but then we encountered a number of digimon that seemed to be protecting Bakemon."

Akira continued, "That's when we came to the conclusion that maybe an exterior force was controlling Bakemon and most of the digimon in Chip Forest."

Sampson nodded. "I see. Any ideas on what it may be?"

"Myotismon said something before he turned into a digiegg," Jake said. "He said, 'You cannot stop the inevitable. Yggdrasil's will is the will of all digimon.'"

"Yggdrasil?" Sampson said, his eyes widening a bit.

"You know what it is?" Luna asked.

"Yggdrasil is the master computer that monitors the digital world," Kudamon said, "It's the digital world's version of God."

"If 'God'," Rydia made a quoting motion with her hands, "is behind the problem in Chip Forest, what does that mean for us?"

"I don't know, we'll need to investigate the matter further. In the meantime, I don't have any missions for you. You're all dismissed." Everyone stood up and saluted before filing out of the room.

(Okay, this is just a question. What do we do when we're not on missions? I'm assuming that we go off to our respective places, but please tell me if I'm wrong.)

Akira-

They all filed out of the briefing room. Akira was slowly starting to calm down off of the adrenaline high she always got during evac. Now, she was just confused and worried about this Yggdrasil.

A cough racked her body, causing all of the other members of her team to look at her. Renamon glanced at Akira's bag, but Akira subtly shook her head at her.

"Akira, are you sick?" Luna asked.

Akira put on her best bland and calm expression. "No, I'm just getting over a cold," she explained. She knew the best lies were reasonable ones.


(Sorry it's so short, but I don't know exactly what to do next. By the way, I'll be gone for a couple of days, but feel free to use Akira if necessary.)

(I suppose. What I was hoping was that Squad D could hang around and bond between missions, if you know what I mean. Also, the characters can bond with their digimon. If your characters want to go back to their homes in the real world, Data Squad has digital gateways in bases in every major city in the world. The base they're in right now is the main base. They use the login room's equipment to send the characters into the digital world, but instead of sending them to a specific place in the digital world they log back out in a different place in the world. I don't know if that's how they do it in the show, nor do I care.)

That seemed to satisfy Luna. She looked at Jake and asked, "So, you going back to Canada to see your sister?"

"Yeah, I promised Sarah I'd come and visit after this mission," Jake said.

(That's all I got for now, but I just came up with a possible story arc. Once our characters go back home to visit whatever friends or family they have, digimon show up in the real world. They kidnap an important person to each of our characters from the real world and brings them into the digital world. This also gave me another idea. I know I said only one character per person, but maybe the people who are kidnapped find a digimon partner in the digital world and becomes a part of Data Squad? This would be our chance to get characters with digimon that are compatible with our own. For example, if Sarah gets kidnapped and befriends and Agumon, when both Agumon and Gabumon digivolves into their mega forms, Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon, they can DNA digivolve into Omnimon. Since it's just the four of us, it should be OK.)

(Sounds good to me. I killed off my sister in my profile, though...maybe I'll change it so I have a brother too. I'll return on Monday, have to go to a basketball tourney. Dynamo, move around Akira as you needed for the plot.)

Rydia

"Bye everyone, I have to get going or I'll be late," Rydia called, waving to the group as she turned towards the login room.

"Where are you going?" Luna asked curiously.

"I promised my mother that I'd take Dennis to the cinema," Rydia explained.

"The monster child?" Luna gasped, only half joking. Rydia laughed pleasantly and nodded.

"Yeah but he's a good kid really. You just have to learn how to handle him."

"Rather you than me," Jake said, remembering the last time he had helped Rydia babysit. Rydia laughed again, gave a final wave and left the group.

Luna waved bye to Rydia as she ran off. "Well, I better get to Montana." Luna groaned as if it was a bad thing.

"See you guys later." Luna turned and ran towards the doors.

"See you." They both said before she walked out.

Once Luna was out of the building she sighed. "Thanks for getting my bags Salamon." She smiled as she waved for a taxi.

"My pleasure." Salamon replied as the big yellow taxi pulled up. Luna jumped in and handed some money to the driver.

"Airport please." The man nodded and took the money, soon begining to drive.

(kitty: Your character's profile is good, of course he doesn't get his digivice our digimon until after he gets kidnapped, right? Luna: Yes. Just look at Sampson, Kudamon follows him around. Also, Luna, your character doesn't have to go to the airport, or did she already get teleported and ended up in America and is just taking the plane to get to her home city?)

(Also, I think it'll be more interesting for the story if only kids between the ages of 8 and 12 get kidnapped. When Dennis and Sarah get taken to the digital world by the bad digimon, maybe they can become friends?)

Personality: Soft hearted, cheerful, carefree.
History: Was left parent-less with her brother, Jake, at the age of 2. She loves her brother, and often wishes to join Data Squad so she could be with him more often. Jake wouldn't allow it, though, not until she finished school. Once that happened, he would put in a good word for her. Although she is very kind, she has no friends. The only friend she has is their housekeeper, Flora.

Jake went through the login room. A few minutes later, he was in Data Squad's Canadian base in Ottawa. From there he took a taxi to Toronto.

It was a two hour drive, but he made it to the apartment where he lived. His suite was on the 22nd floor. He knocked on the door and Flora, their housekeeper, answered. "Hello, Flora."

"Oh, Jake. You're back!" She let him and Gabumon in and called into the house, "Sarah, your brother is here!"

Sarah came running, throwing her arms around Jake. "You're back!"

"It's good to see you, too, Sarah."

When she pulled away from her brother she noticed Gabumon standing beside him. "Gabumon!" She hugged him as tight as she could. "You're just as cute as ever!"

"So, how long do you plan on staying this time, Jake?" Flora asked.

"I'm not sure. Until my boss gives my squad another mission. Could be a few days from now, could be tomorrow," he said.

Sarah looked up at her brother. She still had a death grip on Gabumon. "Why won't you let me join Data Squad, too?"

"You're still too young, Sarah," Jake told her.

"But they hired you when you were only fifteen."

"I was an exception," he said. He rubbed Sarah's head. "But, once you finish your schooling, I promise I'll recommend you to my boss. OK?"

Sarah nodded. "OK!" She turned back to Jake's digimon. "Come on, Gabumon, I've got some new toys!"

Gabumon looked up at his tamer, obviously looking for permission to play. Jake nodded and Gabumon smiled. "OK, let's go play."

"Yay!" Sarah almost dragged Gabumon to her room.

"She's always happy when you two are home," Flora said.

"Isn't she always happy?" Jake asked.

Flora shook her head. "The only time I ever see her happy these days is when you come home. Did she tell you about what's been happening at school?"

"What's been happening?" Jake asked.

"Most of the girls at her school have been picking on her because she has no friends," Flora said, "Whenever I ask her about it she smiles and tells me not to worry, that everything is fine. But I can see the pain in her eyes as clearly as the sun."

Jake sighed, he was always away working for Data Squad. He wished there was something he could do to help his sister. If he could find her a friend she might be a little more happy. That's when he got an idea. What if she had a digimon as a friend? he thought, It might work. I could get Sampson to give my sister a digimon and digivice. I could tell him it would be like a training program for Sarah for when she joins Data Squad. I don't know if he'll buy it, but it's worth a sh-

A large crash shook the entire suit, coming from Sarah's room. The crash was followed by his sister's scream, echoed by Gabumon's voice calling for his tamer. "Jake! Come in here quick!"

"What's going on!?" Flora yelled. But Jake was already running toward Sarah's room before he could answer her question.

*Yeah, I just thought I'd note them down for when he does receive them. And a friendship with Sarah would be interesting. It might take him a little time to warm to her though.*

Rydia

"...and ice cream and popcorn and lots and lots of chocolate!" Dennis declared as he pulled Rydia towards the cinema shop, squeezing her hand tightly. Rydia laughed lightly and shook her head with a fond smile.

"Okay, okay, go and choose what you want but be quick. We don't want to miss the start of the movie, do we?" Dennis shook his head and entered the sweets shop. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Rydia paying for the popcorn and coke, Veemon sat in her rucksack, talking with her. Looking the other way.

With a malicious grin, Dennis pushed a small boy out of the way and ran from the shop, straight towards the cut-out display characters.

"Dennis, don't!" Rydia shouted, running after him. And then the digimon appeared. It threw its arms around the small boy and in a wink of the eye was gone. The spectators stared and then clapped their hands but Rydia ran to where she had seen her brother, pulling her phone out as she did.

"Oh Jake, please pick up. Please pick up, Jake."

Luna~

The taxi pulled up to the beautiful brick house. Luna smiled and ran up to the door, Salamon right behind her. The taxi pulled away as she knocked on the door.

"Grandma! I'm back." She called joyously. The door opened and a short old woman stood there. Her chocolate brown eyes studied Luna. The old lady reached out and hugged Luna.

"I'm glad you're back sweets." The old woman said.

"LuLu!" A voice called. Luna looked up and saw a young girl behind Grandma, standing on the stairs. Poromon floated behind her.

"Hallie!" Grandma released Luna as she stepped towards Hallie. Hallie jumped off the stairs and ran towards her sister. They hugged. Then the both hugged the other's digimon.

"Grandma. May I take Hallie to the park?" Luna asked and smiled.

"You may. But, be home in an hour." Grandma replied as she sat down. Luna nodded and ran out the door. Salamon, Hallie, and Poromon chasing behind her. Once they reached the park Luna sat down and watch Hallie romp with the others.

All of a sudden another digimon came into view. Right next to Hallie and grabbed her.

"No Hallie!" Luna jumped up, but in the blink of an eye it was gone, along with her little sister.

Luna took out her phone and began dialing Jake's number quickly. "Please pick up." She said in a whisper.

Jake entered Sarah's room to see Gabumon get thrown into the wall. "Gabumon!" Jake began to move toward his digimon but a scream stopped him. He turned to see Sarah thrown over the shoulder of a black digimon with wings.

"Jake, help me!" Sarah screamed.

"Let go of my sister!" Jake yelled at the digimon.

The digimon just smiled and jumped backward out of the hole in the side of the apartment. His wings extended and he began flying away.

Jake grabbed his digivice and pointed it at his partner. "Gabumon, digivolve!" His digivice flashed and Gabumon digivolved into Garurumon. Jake climbed onto his digimon's back. "After them!"

"Right!" Jake held on tight as Garurumon leaped out of the building. He chased after the black digimon, jumping from rooftop to rooftop to keep up with the airborne kidnapper. The buildings of Toronto were tall enough and close enough together for them to keep up.

A black portal appeared in front of the digimon. He stopped before going through, turning to see Jake and Garurumon closing in. The digimon grabbed the gun from his back and fired.

The blast threw Garurumon down to the city below. Jake held on as tight as he could, trying not to fall off. Garurumon planted his feet into the side of a nearby building to slow the decent. When he started to lose the friction between his claws and the building he jumped to another building and did the same. He repeated the process over and over until they landed in the middle of a street intersection.

All Jake could hear was the screams of people and the blaring horns of cars. One of the cars on the road swerved out of control and crashed into another one.

Jake looked up to see the digimon fly through the portal, his sister with him. Jake cursed under his breath, but his rage quickly dissipated when he heard the sound of sirens. He turned back to his digimon. "We have to get out of here before the police catch us!" Garurumon nodded and raced down the street, jumped over every car in his path.

Garurumon stopped running when they arrived under a highway overpass. The entire place was riddled with graffiti and garbage. Jake slid off his digimon. With his tamer off his back, Garurumon was able to degenerate back to Gabumon.

Jake's digivice started ringing. He grabbed it and saw both Luna and Rydia's caller I.D.s flashing on the screen. He brought it up to his ear and said, "This is Jake."

Both of them, at the same time, yelled, "Jake!" They both started talking at the same time. Jake couldn't understand what either of them were saying.

"Calm down, both of you. You need to talk one at a time," Jake said. "Luna, you first."

"A digimon appeared out of nowhere and kidnapped my sister at the park!" she said.

"A digimon showed up at the movie theater and took Dennis, too!" Rydia said.

"A digimon kidnapped my sister, too," Jake told them. "I tried to go after it, but it went through some kind of portal."

"What are we going to do?" Rydia asked.

"Call Akira and Commander Sampson and tell them what's happened. I'll meet you all back at Data Squad HQ." With that he hung up and put his digivice back onto his belt. He turned to his digimon and said, "Look's like our day off has been cut short."

"Why would that digimon kidnap Sarah?" Gabumon asked.

"I don't know, but I intend to find out once we save her."

Dennis

"Put. Me. Doooooooown!" Dennis roared, biting the arm of the creature that held him and kicking his legs hard against its hide.

"Insolent human," The WarGrowlmon snarled, throwing the small boy to the ground. Dennis rolled to his feet and charged at the digimon, throwing his little fists against its side.

"Looks like you picked the wrong kid," A black, winged digimon sneered as it landed, holding a pretty, blond girl.

"Here, you take him," WarGrowlmon insisted, grabbed the boy in one metal claw and thrusting him towards Beelzemon.

"No way!" Beelzemon objected. "You shouldn't have chosen Rydia."

"Well I didn't think her brother would be a creature from hell!"

"Where's my sister?" Dennis yelled, fighting the grip even harder. "I.Want. Rydiaaaaaa!"

"Keep him quiet," A third digimon commanded as it landed with a brown haired girl.

"I got the last one." A fourth digimon declared. "So what do we do with them?"
