Hello everyone, Loveless here! I haven't posted here in a while, ha ha! This idea came to me while I was watching a movie -no I cant remember the title-. Anyway, enjoy.
Blame it on the rain~
Prologue:
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my heart you choose to keep, and if I die before I wake, all of me is yours to take. ~He is We~
~A street light flickered on, signaling the return of night. Another day gone with still no sign from my love, he's been away for months now. Many have told me to get over him, but I do not think I can. My ears yearn for his soothing voice, my arms ache for his touch, my nose cries for his sweet scent of pure vanilla, and my heart, oh, my poor heart, screams his name. I cry out in pain as something shoots through my body. The pain of loss love perhaps? I think that may be it. I can feel it breaking. Through the thin skin of my chest I can feel it growing weaker. It beats slower and softer as the days grow longer, it's to the point where I fear it might give up. It mustn't let it give up, not now, not while I'm alone. As if on cue the pain shot through me again, to remind me that I was alone. Very alone. A moan broke the silence and it took me a few moments to realize it was mine. What was I doing to myself? You are killing yourself. Oh, that's right, I was killing myself slowly. I silently thanked that voice in my head which decided to visit me not too long ago, on the start of Lilth's prolonged absence and the beginning stages of my paranoia. It's nice actually, to have it around. It's nice to pretend I wasn't completely alone. Another sharp pain coursed through my body and I squeezed my eyes shut. The pain of loss love has returned to remind me again. It's understandable, why it would come at that time, if I forgot the truth of loneliness it would go away. It doesn't want to die so it comes to remind me. I forgive the pain.
I can still remember when Lilth and I first met. I was at the movies watching Daybreakers, he was sitting next to me. We hadn't known each other, we both had no clue we were sitting next to our love. There was a part in the movie where the guy's head exploded. I hadn't seen it coming and when it happened I jumped and waste my nachos all over him and me. I had no clue then, but that was the start of everything. The thing that first attracted me to him was his eyes, they were a deep, knowing, light green. They were so light they came across as yellow if you simply glanced. The intense blackness of his hair helped to further highlight the beauty of his eyes. He was so amazing, and his persona was prize worthy. We did everything together. He was my protection and I was his love. Oh, the things I would give to see him again.
That same pain shot through me.
"It's okay," I whispered to it," I don't want to die either." My words felt out of place in the air. It's been so long since I spoke out loud. Only cries and moans escaped from my lips. Lips that, in fact, still wore the same ruby red lipstick from the day I last saw him. I hadn't bothered to take it off. My clothes were still the same, a lovely ball gown, and my hair was still, more or less, in small ringlets. It's gross, I know, the fact that I havent showered in months, nor have I moved from the spot where I curled up next to the fireplace after he packed his things and headed off into the Twilight. He spoke words of promise, words of certain return. That was eight months ago though, and here I wait still. He hadn't told me where he stalked off to, just said he was going. The sharp pain went through me again and I cried out. My hands flew to my stomach and I laughed. I forgot I was pregnant. That must be the source of the pain, the baby kicking. Lilth should come back, he was going to miss the birth. When was the birth? I probably still had a month. The pain shot through me again, harder this time and my stomach clenched. No, not next month. Now!
"Now-owwwwwwwwww." A blood-curdling scream vibrated through the air. I screamed for help. I swear I did, I told the whole world something was trying to rip its way out of my more private body parts. I hated this thing, I cursed it with all my power and might as it tore it's way through me. It was trying to kill me! It wanted me dead so that when Lilth returned it could have him for itself. I wouldn't let it take my life, or my Lilth. My nails tore into the floor boards and splinters found their way into me, desperate to further my pain. I screamed again, this time louder and longer.
"Get it out! Kill it. Kill it!" Sweat from my forehead ran into my eyes and my mouth. Everything was silent for a moment, everything minus my deep, broken breathing. If it was not for the silence I wouldn't have heard the snap. The placenta. The placenta? My screams started up again as my body pushed against my will. A gurgling sound replaced my screams and a somewhat familar taste of copper filled my taste buds. I was choking on blood, which was disgusting. My body pushed again and I tried to scream, but it was as if I was underwater. I might as well have been under water, I'm sure drowning hurt less than this. The sound of something pounding on wood echoed through the room. A sickening sound played with my ears as I spit out blood in an attempt to clear my airways so I could scream again. Screaming was good, it helped distract my senses from the pain. I pushed again.
"Get. It. Ou-owwwwwwwww." The knocks came more frantically.
"Marcie, Marcie? Are you okay Marcie?" Lilth? Lilth! I tried to sit up but was forced back down by pain. I screamed again instead," Marcie, oh god! I'll be right in honey! I'll be there." I smiled through the tears and the pain. He had actually come back. Where did he go again? Jail? I think he went to jail. No. Where did he go? Where did he-
"Oh! Make it stop!" I shook my head back and forth as the thing crawled out of me. There was a harsher pounding on the door. He was trying to kick it down? I hope so this thing was-
"It's trying to kill me, Lilth!" My words were choked off by more blood. My eyes opened wide with fear. I cant die, not while Lilth is here. I wont let myself die. The door finally gave up and tumbled to the floor, almost instantly my forehead was being wiped, and my head was being tilted forward. Some blood cleared from my mouth, but not all of it. I still couldn't scream, or say 'I love you'.
"Just breathe, Marcie." I rolled my head to the side to attempt to smile at Lilth, but he wasn't there. Who was this man that burst into my house? It wasn't Lilth. The finial pieces of my heart crumbled into nothing. Lilth had not come back for me? He had not returned to witness the birth of the thing he planted in me? My loss love, where could he be? Does he not care for me as I care for him? Does he not understand the severity of my condition? Does his heart not long for mine as mine does for his? No. My vision went black just as the sound of a baby's cries filled the air.
