. So here we go. This is sort of a spin off of a book I read very recently, its alright though because the book isn't that famous. Hehe, so enjoy. I hope its not too long, this is my first post. Constructive criticism is welcome but just consider, I'm only 13 at this moment. Thanks for your time. x
He placed his hand on my cheek as I fell softly into the smooth curve of his neck. We stood in silence, not uttering a word holding each other tightly. I listened to his breathing and the beat of his heart, even they were beautiful just so calm and quiet. He softly pushed me away and I nodded, I knew exactly what I had to do I had gone over it hundreds of times in my head. It was a foolproof plan; if I just made sure I did it all right and didn’t leave any knot untied. Jasper looked around the empty room and then pulled me into his bathroom.
“You don’t have to do this Daisy,” he whispered, putting my hands on his chest.
“Yeah maybe, but I want to. I want to help you and I’m going to,” I whispered back, putting my arms around his neck.
He leaned in and brushed his lips against mine softly then kissed me, it wasn’t the first time he’d kissed me but there was something different this time. It was nicer, longer and I knew I deserved it so I stood there and let time march on without really thinking much. I wasn’t sure if I could save Jasper but all I could do now was try. For a while, just for that little while, I forgot about everything and everyone else. I forgot about all the crap in our lives that I would have to face the second I left his plain room. It puzzled me, how someone so amazing and sweet could live in a room so plain, dead and boring. I broke off as my eyes began to brim with tears, Jasper smiled gently and softly swept the tears from my eyes.
“What happens if I never see you again Jasper?” I managed to whimper.
“I promise you, no matter what happens, we’ll find each other in the end.” He whispered blinking slowly.
And for some reason I believed him, I checked my pockets again to make sure it was all there. Then Jasper lead me to the door and slowly and silently opened it.
“I love you Daisy,” he whispered before closing the door.
That was all I needed, that tingle inside of me, those words, those lips, those eyes, those arms. I could do whatever he needed me to do, I was under his control. I ran silently down the stairs, I looked back at to the top of the stairs, secretly hoping that Jasper would be standing there. Standing in his cute awkward way, smiling calmly, the smile that said you can do this Daisy, you can do this for me. But he wasn’t there; he was in his room with the auto lock on, probably sitting on his bed or pacing the room. I walked through the automatic doors as fast as I could and rushed home. When I reached my front door I picked out my keys from my bag, and slowly slipped the key into the lock. As I past the living room I looked inside, mum was sitting there with a glass filled with a small amount of alcohol left, lurking at the bottom. The TV was on but I was pretty sure she was sleeping in her arm chair, in fact I could hear her softly snoring. I made my way up the stairs, past the bathroom, then past Mum’s room and Rosie’s room. Rosie’s light was on and I could hear her moving around all of sudden very quickly. I went over to her door to hear a load of girly giggles and then shush shush, I opened her door to see her and two of her friends sprawled across the floor. The room stank of smoke and not just regular smoke, I looked at Rosie she giggled loudly.
“Hello Daisy” she smiled silly, “mum’s asleep yeah?”
“Daisy, you’re so stupid.” My eyes glazed over, I took Rosie’s hand and took her to the bathroom. I sat her down and started to tell her my plans for Jasper.
“I’m going to help Jasper escape,” I explained, I told her the whole story. She nodded and every so often she would close her eyes for about ten seconds. I knew she was out of it maybe on drink, smokes, spliffs or some kind of drugs. That’s why it was so easily to tell her because I knew there was no way of her judging me. She probably wouldn’t even remember the next morning but she wouldn’t be able to admit that. I was being quite clever and sneaky here you see, it’s a bit of a habit now. Rosie rubbed her head and then her eyes which consequently smudged the make-up that had obviously taken her so long to master.
“I don’t really know what to say to you,” she finally blurted after spending a while twiddling her Russell Brand hair.
I looked down upon my sister for various reasons, she tried too hard to copy some random girls (or sometimes even boys) hair and make-up. She wore clothes and accessories designed for five year olds, all bought at out ridiculous prices. She smoked, drank and did drugs with her little friends and spent most of her time out. She thought that all of the above which she did made her super cool, popular and amazing. But she also took advantage of the fact that our mum had a drinking problem, whether it was stealing from her or sneaking out when she was too drunk to notice. When all she should’ve been there to help mum through this tough period in her life and she wasn’t. I put Rosie back in her room and rolled my eyes deeply, I was glad that she had no idea what I had hidden in my pockets.
