I'm back for a little! And I want to read stuff!

I will read...
  • Short stories
  • Novellas
  • Novels
  • Prose

I will read at your own risk...
  • Poetry - I don't think I'm as good at reviewing poetry compared to other types of literature, but I am fine with doing it if you want

I will not read...
  • Anything with sexual assault
  • Beyond chapter five of a novel of which I have not reviewed the previous chapters
  • Anything with three or more detailed reviews

If you want me to include advice on specific aspects of your piece, please let me know and I will be happy to help you out! Whatever you want me to do, I will write a multi-section, detailed review that includes critiques on your theme, characters, style, syntax, and more. You can look at my old reviews as examples, but my last one was a year ago, so they will definitely be better than then.

(While you're at it, review my stuff here!)

Hello!
I'm looking for critical and thoughtful reviews with in depth analysis, as I am trying to improve my writing. My debut novel has been in the works for almost five years now and I am trying to get some input. I have a few early draft chapters in my portfolio from about a year or two ago but even since then I have greatly improved. The work I am requesting a review on is a later chapter in the overall book but I'm less worried about storyline reviews and more focused on the nitty gritty. I'll stop boring you though and give you some actual info about the piece.
The chapter takes place in the after math of a major turning point, where the FMC finally faces her past and confronts her emotionally abusive father. In a turn of events she challenges her father to a fight to the death and wins. This chapter is her coping with the emotional trauma of that choice. It is packed full of complex prose and symbolism as well as hidden foreshadowing, which I hope is not too obvious.
I would love your thoughts and criticisms. I hope I hear from you, happy writing (or reviewing)!!
