An Invitation to my Forum!

This is an invitation to my forum. Named "White Feather", It's a small (hoping to get bigger) forum run by myself and a couple friends. It's part of a larger network of sites (Founded by myself) named the "Garbled In Communication Network Broadcasting Service"! That includes several sites.

Our forums subject is the object of the forums community's current interest! That means, That the forum will shift as the interests of repeat posters shift! The forum features a chat and a fanfic section as well as a tech, movie, music, and Pen and Paper RPG sections along with many others!
We also have a fanfiction section for our user to share and gain secondary exposure for their work!

It's also the Permanent home of Qaralynn and myself's Giant list of Movies!
A giant list of movie recommendations that anyone can add to! it's great fun. There are roughly 2 or 3 active games of various types on White Feather as well!

If there's a subject that doesn't exist and you'd like to see it on white feather, Tell us! We aim to please! If you have a website and wish to join the G.I.C network, You can apply via a PM here, or anywhere else you see Mono The Elder! You get a Lil' button thingy to put on your site and a small feature as well as being linked to through the news blog and central forum.

Since my forums is supported by ads, Guests (people that haven't registered,) Will see ads on the site but those ads are removed after registering. The Logo on the home page is in fact home-made. And Yeah, I can't draw for beans, But One of the Mods on the Site (Paranoia Pie) thought we needed something on there So I did .... that...... thing.

Anywho, We would be honored if you YWSer's would consider registering on White Feather and help us grow and improve!

We're organizing a Sci-fi D6 Pen and paper (through the forum) RPG game based somewhat (mostly) on the Shadow Run universe..



Shadowrun is a pen-and-paper role-playing game set in a futuristic world (currently 63 years in the future, or 2073) where megacorporations control the lives of not only their employees, but command entire armies (the 10 biggest corporations in the world have extraterritoriality, much like an embassy has now). Tech is state of the art and cyberware and bioware (cybernetically enhanced body parts or augmented parts grown in a vat then implanted in place of natural organs) are common. Magic has returned to the world with a vengeance, mutating vast numbers of people into dwarves, elves, orcs, trolls and even more exotic creatures. The computer crash of 2029 and various conflicts and plagues have reshaped the financial landscape of the world. Now when conflicts arise the corporations, governments, even wealthy individuals, and organized crime subcontract their dirty work to specialists, those who then perform "shadowruns" or missions undertaken by deniable assets those without an identity, or those that wish to remain unknown. The most skilled of these specialists, called shadowrunners, have earned a reputation for getting the job done. They have developed a knack for staying alive, and prospering, in the world of Shadowrun.

The Shadowrun world is cross-genre, incorporating elements of both cyberpunk and urban fantasy. The game is set approximately 60 years in the future to that of present-day Earth. It takes on an alternative reality to that of our own history. It includes an account of important events from now until the time of the game. As in many near-future cyberpunk settings, Shadowrun includes advanced computer technology and sophisticated cybernetic implants. Unlike in a purely cyberpunk game, in the Shadowrun world, magic returns in 2011. Among other things, this causes humankind to split into subtypes, also known as metatypes. Some of these metatypes take the form of elves, dwarves, orks, or trolls. Likewise, some animals have turned into familiar monsters of past fantasy and lore and both monsters and human magicians have regained magical powers. By the second half of the 21st century, in the time the game is set, these events are accepted as commonplace. Man, machine, and magic exist in a world where the amazing is among the most common and technology has entered into every facet of human (and metahuman) life.


Sounds interesting don't it? As far as I can tell, (first time around and all.) It seems similar to the well known and loved warhammer 40k

One of my mods, "Paranoiapie" Will be our GM with an Iron fist and will throw who knows what at our intrepid players in this game of skill and luck of the draw. Join us down at White Feather!
