For those of you that know anything about the UFC and MMA in general...I think you'll agree with me that this is sad news indeed.
For those of you that have no clue, Evan was a great fighter; a warrior in the cage. He won the Middleweight championship in the UFC and lost it to Rich Franklin, but never gave up...
He underwent a battle with alcoholism and barely managed to steer clear of disaster with that in 2007, and made a comeback to the UFC after being gone from MMA for years. He lost back to back fights, and many had negative things to say about him...after those two fights his overall record ran to 32 wins, 8 losses.
But this man was a warrior; always was and always will be. My prayers go out to his family that has survived him...
