Uh... Helllo? Or not?

Ok. I'm new here, and I really don't know how stuff work around here. Anyway. I may look like I just want attention or something, but it's nothing like that. Fact is I'm kinda wanting to chat with people of other countrys, and I like (love) to write too. I'm actually finishing one book, the first of a trilogy. And, though that it have a lot of characters of other countries - like an Russian ex-KGB agent and an super lucky american poker player (what might look super cliche on first look) - talk with people would really help.
The title of the trilogy is (in english) "Between gods and humans".
But, anyway, I came here. I'm brazilian, by the way (how you guys may have already noticed by my bad english).
So... How are you guys?

Welcome to YWS! I'm Sarah and I'm from the US. First of all, I admire you for finishing a book (something I've never done). You could post it here, and although I don't read Spanish/Portuguese I'm sure some people here do. Your English is great for someone speaking it as a second language. Kudos for being brave enough to try out a site in a foreign language!

And that thing about my book... Something that I would really love, and will look up for it, it's translate it to English. I don't know how, but I'll find a way.
Other thing is that I would like to "publish" it online. How is that done? Is it possible here (it's not too big; little more than 150 pages '-')?
An example I got, is Metro 2033, by Dmitry Glukhovsky. He posted his book online, and some time later, the success was so much, that a publisher released his book and, later, THQ even made a game of it. That's something '-'

Wow. Congratulations on finishing your book! (I'll finish mine someday. *sigh*) I would love to read it when you get it translated! I agree that your English is wonderful. I admit it's a stupidly weird language. Take the word "pineapple." A pineapple has nothing to do with pines or apples. Anyway...
If you'd like some help getting used to the site, we can get you paired up with a mentor through The Buddy System. You can look through and see if anyone looks like they'd be a good mentor for you and shoot them a PM. Your mentor will help get you acquainted with the site, review your work, answer any questions you might have, and introduce you to other members and so forth.
