Avast, Fellow Young Adults!

Hey there, I'm a 14-year-old female banana from the remote region of Hither and Yon, trying to get myself back into writing stories. From the age of 6 I filled journals with fiction and the occasional diary, code, doodle, etc., but thanks to the internet, I find myself reading and writing so much less... man, I used to spend all of my free time reading.

Anyway.

I'm happy to be here. I'm a compulsive writing-site-joiner, believe me. But don't expect me to post too often.

I've joined quite a few writing sites compulsively too in my days, so I hear ya there. But, that said, YWS caught hold of me in ways I didn't expect. There's a great community here and a fantastic site culture. So you just might be around more than you expect

Welcome to YWS, and I know you'll love it here as much as I do. Don't worry, what happened to you, happened to me too. I used to write and read books all the time, but then I started getting more homework in middle school, and soccer and track, practices, games, and meets. After joining the site, and being around a bunch of writers, it made me want to write a lot again, and trust me that will happen to you .

Oh, and as for reading, I got the kindle, and so it made me want to read even more

Navigating around the site is pretty easy, but if you have any trouble, don't hesitate to pm me and my wall is always open to you. You can start by reviewing in the Discover Works section, or just chill out in one of the community forums.

If you also want to talk to other fellow writers, you can check out the chat room, which is availible on the site home page. Well it's almost 11 pm and I have school tomorrow, so I'm going to wrap it up. YWS is a great site, and you won't regret joining it!
