Hello chickens!

I have parused and feel quite confident that I know all there is to know about the way of the Young Writers Society. I know how to navigate the forums, post, review (yes, the ratio of reviews:posts as well), and do all sorts of fun and exciting things here! (Okay okay, I have some prior knowlege due to a sincere friendship-you caught me!)

My name is Christine Lefevre. I have been alive for 18 and 1/2 years thus far, and indend to live for a fair few more.

I'm completely obsessed with the 1930's, life just aint what it used to be.

I love films and music! Pirates of the Caribbean is the very reason I want to become a film maker. I also hope to one day make a film about my adorable grandmother and her amazing life.

I'm a student at The Evergreen State College, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. Ask me about it anytime, especially if you're looking for a great education I'll be happy to fill you in, point you to admissions, help you get housing, and even give you some insider information! This offer never expires.

Wow. I feel so...unnecessary. You already seem to know the essentials of YWS. Hmm. Well, I'll just concentrate of greeting-greeting instead of helping-greeting.

So welcome to the site! You love music? What type? Alt. Rock? Pop? Soul?

You're a Pirates of the Caribbbean lover? I remember first watching that movie with my friends. We were like seven, and though it scared us out of our little minds not one of us would admit to the fear. Ah, the trials, tribulations and joys of childhood.

1930s, eh? Since watching Hairspray, I've had a thing for the 1960s myself. And you want to make a film about your grandmother? That's certainly a strange thing to hear. She must be really amazing.

You want to become a film maker? So do you write Scripts then? Or are you going to be a reader/ reviewer on the site?

I never explored the site a whole lot before I joined *blushes lightly* But it's amazing here and I hope you like it as well as the rest of us. And even though you seem to have found your way around, still feel free to ask questions!

A filmmaker? That's pretty cool. The college you go to has a course for film making?

1930's? That's an awesome time! My mom positively loves those early years, and I've grown slightly fond of them too. Two people I greatly admire started an amazing company in British Columbia sometime then. And some of the music! Amazing!

Don't feel unnecessary! Nobody is ever unnecessary!

Yes I was actually scared out of my wits, my mom had to practically drag me to the movie theater! But once I saw it I knew that one day I wanted to make something that would make someone feel the way I did after seeing that film. Estate is actually a very artsy school. I'm hoping to get out to NYC in the spring for a class all about Broadway and the arts in NYC. Yeah, I actually get college credit for that!

My grandmother is very amazing, she went through so much in her life and now she's this sweet little old lady whom I love dearly! I want to write a script sort of outlining events in her life for myself and my family. I hope one day I can turn it into a film but I want to keep her memory alive at least on the page. It's as if I writer her down I can keep her soul with me forever. Cheesy stuff I know:)

Also, I love all kinds of music. Right now I'm completely obsessed with Florence + The Machine. I've always loved John Mayer and Taylor Swift. I was raised on Country, my first concert was Garth Brooks. But I went to a less wealthy high school where hip hop and pop were the most popular types of music.

Oui, Lefevre c'est francais. Someday I hope to return to the lands of my ancestors, ahem France. But for now I just stick with the french I learned in high school and the google images button

One FINAL things, I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE a pen pal. So if anyone is even slightly interested PM me and we can flesh out the details. I love writing letters and of course recieving mail but I don't seem to have anyone to write to without being stalkerish, so a pen pal would brighten my day!

Welcoem to YWS I am sure you shall love it here. Tell me, are you a fan of the celtic genre or music? Just curious. I just happened to be obsessed with Celtic music which I supposed that you can tell that right away judging by my username. Wow you are the same age as I am! Ok I should totally shut up for right now. Ihave a habit of talking too much I am sorry.

Haha funny you should bring Celtic music up. My mom is completely obsessed! She absolutely loves anything and everything Celtic. She actually drew a tatto they we hope to get matching and it's a celtic knot heart and it says "you are half of me" in Gaelic.

I've listened to a bit of Celtic music but not much. I need to more though.

Also, there is no such thing as too much talking. Communication is key:)

Welcome! Hm, I feel like I really have no obligation to say that as I only joined this sight... 1, 2... 9 days ago, and you're probably more familliar with it then I am by now.

Evergreen State Collage, eh? Hm... you know, My sister is going to collage in just a year and a half, so lots of people ask her where she wants to go and she's always like, "Oh, UT for sure," and then they nod and turn to me and ask where I'd like to go and I just shake my head and say, "I have absolutely no idea." So, just out of curiosity, had you planned on going to Evergreen for a while before you were accepted, or did you just happen upon it? Meh... I'm in eighth grade. I don't understand why I should be worried about collage yet...

Hm, 1930s... isn't that when the depresion was? Hehe, well I'm more middle into ages... you know, bubunic plague and stuff... I think... or is that the dark ages? I don't know...

My ancestors were from Ireland... I've never been there, but I have had the pleasure to visit Paris once... the shopping was nice, the weather was bad, the view was beautiful, and the food was overpriced I think, don't quote me on that though, I was like... ten.

I went to a John Mayer concert once... well, honestly, my sister dragged me along... but it was absolutely amazing in a way that I can't put into words... and, actually, not because of John Mayer, because of his opening act. Let's just say that was the best night of my life... if you'd like me to go into more detail, PM me!

Pen Pals? That sounds like a lot of fun! Hehe, but you probably don't want exchange letters with some strange fourteen year old girl from Texas... especially if you live in Australia, or the UK or Canada or something... you'd have to wait a while to get the letters.

Evergreen is really great (minus being in Washington, where it rains all the time and vampires don't actually exist haha). But I actually did just happen upon it last minute haha. I thought I was going to the art institute in Seattle but it is far to exspensive and vastly overrated. Eight grade isn't too early I started looking at colleges in the sixth grade.

The Depression was the 40's, the 30's was Prohibition, Women's suffrage, crazy Mafia stuff:)

I'm jealous you have been to Paris! Any part of France would be amazing, or Ireland!

John Mayer is a musical genious! I'm green with envy you went to a concert.

I actually live in Washington. I honestly love letter writing and pen palling haha.
