Hi! : )

Hi everybody, this is SiSi. I just turned 13 and I'm in 7th grade.
I really like reading manga books, especially Fruits Basket, (hence my username) and good mystery series like Sherlock Holmes.
Violin and clarinet are the 2 instruments I play; I take private lessons for violin but not for clarinet. Music is awesome!
Apparently I can write some pretty good poetry, but it's not always the best. One of my greatest wishes is to write a good mystery which follows all the standards for an English Detective Story. We're studying Sherlock Holmes mysteries right now in school, so that should help. And YWS will, of course, definitely help!
I'm sorry--I'm rambling on and on about random things. Well anyway, I think I'll have fun on this site...

Okay, well, first of all we have a 4:1 ratio here. For each story you post you have to do 4 reviews!

Keep chat-speak to a minimum, that includes lol, brb, afk, and stuff like that.

DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS PLEASE; IT GETS VERY ANNOYING AND SUCH.

Haha, you'll soon learn we all ramble about random stuff. That is the beauty of YWS: nobody will look at you like you're crazy when you ramble on and on.

Some more on the rules, since Logan said the basics:

~ Review ratio: Basically, you have to write three reviews on works before you go off posting any of your own. A "review" isn't all that hard to do, as hard as it may sound. Simply read a work in Literary, hit "reply," write a little comment on what you liked/didn't like about the work (and why is preferred as well), and hit "submit." Voila! You have a review written and done.

~ No Chatspeak: You don't seem to have a problem with this. Awesome! Just know that stuff like "lol," "brb" and "MC" [Main Character] are okay.

~ Rate your works: When you create a thread, you can see stuff like "E," "16" and "18." These are the ratings works are given. If you use the f-word, have "adult content" or lots and lots of gore, rate it 18. This is a mandatory rating.

Those are the three main rules here on YWS. We also follow the Golden Rule, and one that should go without saying: Have fun!

Sherlock Holmes. He's a good character. Never actual read the books since I get creeped out like nobody's business, lol, but I do enjoy seeing how the best detective in the world was turned into the most memorable.

Hi! Thanks for all the tips; YWS looks really cool!

I like a lot of colors, so I'm not sure what I should say is my favorite...

J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books are cool; but like I said, Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya is my all-time favorite! (But La Corda D'Oro is also pretty cool...)

Shel Silverstein's poems are amazing! It's because they are nonsense, but they make sense at the same time.

YWS is my favorite site. No one could ever possibly be bored here!

And I'm not sure about my favorite genre to write--but my favorite type of writing is narrative. I love telling stories! They're almost always about random, made-up-on-the-spot manga characters, though.

OK, right now I have to get to annoying science homework...

I'm Mo, and welcome to YWS!

You play the violin and the clarinet!!! That is so awesome! I myself am a flute player (flautist) but my twin sister plays the clarinet! (And there is constant argument on whether flute or clarinet is better. xD)
I too have just turned 13, but I'm in 8th grade.

Ha ha! I know what you're talking about. My friend's sister plays flute, and she told me once about her view on flute and clarinet. She, of course, considered flute to be better. My friend doesn't like flute, though. Maybe part of the reason why she doesn't is because the two sisters don't get along...

In answer to your Q's:

Definitely computer over paper! It's so much faster for me. I'd rather read about vampires than werewolves; and the last one, I can't decide.
