Hi there, I'm (clearly) somewhat new. I don't really have many interesting things to say about myself and I used up all of my paragraph energy when I finished my last story, so have some convenient bullet points free of charge!

-I'm Saeric. *waves*
-I like to write and read things.
-Despite the title I don't actually speak Japanese, but I took it for five years and sometimes the words slip out.
-I do speak Spanish although writing in English is more fun.
-I'm a college student.
-I like friendly people.
-I read mostly fantasy and science fiction with a good dash of airport mysteries thrown in.
-My favorite kind of poem is the sonnet, but only because I'm a freak for meter.
-I am running out of things to say about myself.
-I... am not a criminal?
-I... *thinks very hard* ...like kittens.

Japanese! How cool! I would love to learn the language myself, but I'm afraid I'm a bit too lazy to teach myself. *sigh* One day, though. One day.

I absolutely love sonnets, which means you have just scored about a million cool points. The stupid thing is, I'm horrible at meter, so I choose to ignore that part of the English sonnet but I think as I write more I'll get better at it. I hope. XD

Wow Spanish? Are you fluent yet? I'm trying to learn french but I don't think it's going very well :S

There are loads of things to do on YWS including discussion forums in just about everything, the literacy forums where you can read and review work. There's games to play on and loads of people to meet, it's great to chat to other writers as you'll find so many of them share your interests.

There is also an instant chat program where everyone is really friendly, just pop by and introduce yourself sometime.

Five years? O.O My inner weeaboo envies you so. XD I've been studying Japanese for about six years, but all alone, by which I mean "At-a-ridiculously-slow-pace-and-I-really-suck-at-kanji," but I did finally get the chance to take one semester of it formally this summer. XD

Ooh, are you fluent in Spanish? I've been studying it my whole time in high school, but pathetic as I am, I'm still not fluent, and now that I've finished all my school's courses, I think I'm falling out of practice. >_<
