ok this story is not my own work, it is a story one of my friends is writing and i have full permission to submit it to sites and see what other people think about it as i am her editor, so enjoy and leave tons of comments so i can let her know what to improve on.
-----------------------------------------

I had friends, family, and a house, I was perfectly happy! Why did it have to go and change on me? My name is Paris and I’m from Forks, Washington. I have a lot of friends, but my two best friends are Christian and Satine. Christian totally ignores his name. He is gothic, loves vampires, werewolves, witchcraft, and heavy metal. Satine is almost the same, a tomboy who hates sports but loves wearing black and is absolutely obsessed with vampires. Not even knowing it, Christian and I would stumble into a world much unlike our own.

“Shut up and give me back that notebook, Paris!” Satine lunged at me as I pulled the notebook out of her reach.

“What if I don’t want to?” I smiled and tossed the book to Christian, who caught it, with a surprised look on his face, before handing it gently to Satine.

“Thank you Christian. I can obviously see who my real friend is!” She gave me a pointed look and I just rolled my eyes.

“No problem, you know what the English homework was?” he opened his planner and whipped out a pen to write with.

“Chapter 3 of ’Twilight.’” Christian’s pen flew across the page of his planner, as if it was really hard to write ‘ch. 3 Twilight.’

“Satine, you coming over today for movie night? We’re watching ‘Ninjas From Space!’” I looked expectantly at Satine, but she gave the negative.
“I have some things to do, sorry guys!” Christian stopped writing and pushed his long black bangs out of his eyes.

“But we really wanted to show you the ninja-astronaut eating a burger and destroying a Martian from Jupiter at the same time!” He did the puppy dog pout.

“As fun as that sounds, I’m afraid I have to pass. I have some important things to do with my family tonight.” Satine smiled and waved goodbye as she ducked into her chorus rehearsal.

“Have you ever wondered where she goes all the time?” I looked quizzically at Christian. “Think about it Paris! She always disappears a lot during the night!”

“Now that you mention it, yeah, I have noticed that! And whenever we suggest going to La Push, she always makes excuses!”

As you can see, Christian and I were already suspicious of our friend Satine. It wasn’t until that night we found out her true nature.

It was after ‘Ninjas From Space’ while I was walking Christian home. We were joking around when we saw them. Thugs with giant Harleys, all of them had blonde hair and piercing green eyes, almost like clones.

“Hey there boys. You know, I’m kind of hungry, got any cash?” His eyes glittered with some kind of hunger.

“Sorry, no. Excuse us, we have to get home.” I tried to push past them, but they all started laughing and the boy asking for money held his hand out to stop me.

“Then I do believe I’ll have to take some other payment from you.” His eyes turned yellow and he opened his mouth, showing us massive fangs.
I screamed, then I heard a bang and the blonde fell to the ground, dead. We all flipped our heads to see a silver gun with a red rose on the side emerged from the shadows.

“You’re on my hunting grounds, mutts.” A voice I knew too well spoke to the thugs.

“No way!” My muttering was ignored as my best friend sauntered from the shadows, wearing clothes I never thought she’d ever wear. A pair of tight, black, leather pants with belts attached all around her legs. Two gun holsters sat on her hips and she wore a long coat that fell to her feet with black clothes underneath. Her hair was down, unlike in school when it was always in a bun. Her hair fell to her waist. Her eyes a blood red.

“There’s six against one, who do you think is going to win, Satine, you filthy bloodsucker.” One of the thugs started laughing, before another gunshot went off, they all got silent.

“Two.” Another person wearing the same clothes as Satine stepped into the light.

“Three.” Another.
“Four.”

“Five.”

“Six.”

“Seven.”

“Eight.”

I looked around. There were eight people with guns surrounding us!

“You are obviously outnumbered and you know very well you can’t change fully in front of a mortal.” She gave a small gesture to Christian and I. “We’ll let you go this time. Make sure you don’t come back.”

The thugs slowly walked to their Harleys, never taking their eyes off the people until they hit the road. After they were gone, Satine lowered next to the fallen man and started to suck his blood! We stood in silence, listening only to Satine’s sucking until it stopped. I heard Christian puking next to me.

“Christian!” I knelt down and put my arm around his shoulder.

I saw Satine walking towards us and I whipped my head up. “STOP MOVING, VAMPIRE!” As I said it, realization dawned on me. She was a vampire. My best friend, Satine, was a vampire.

“I.” Her eyes conveyed every sorrow in the world as a thin trickle of blood fell down her chin.

“Satine, leave him alone. He’s upset.” One vampire came over and put his hand on her shoulder. He had short brown hair that was gelled back and his eyes were as red as Satine’s.
“Satine.” I looked down at Christian, who was staring at Satine, tears coming to his eyes.

“Why didn’t you tell us?” Her face broke, she look like she was going to cry.

“Dominic, we need to take them to Vask. They need to know.” Satine continued to stare at Christian.

“Satine you know-“ The vampire with his hand on her shoulder began to speak, before Satine jumped in.

“They need to know. Bring the bikes around.” I looked at Satine’s shaking figure and sighed. I blinked and all the vampires but Satine were gone. She continued to stand there, her hair flying around her, tears falling slowly down her face.

“Why Satine? Why?” Christian was standing, not with anger, just pain. They stared at each other for a moment before she responded.

In a small but strong voice, she whispered, “I couldn’t, Chrissy, I couldn’t,” She broke the gaze, and turned her head into the direction of a great roaring. In a flash of black, the vampires were back, but this time on Harleys just as big as the thugs’.

“Christian, you’ll be riding with Dominic. Paris, you’re with me.” Satine grabbed a bike from the size of the road, suddenly a cold expressionless vampire. She swung her legs over the side of the motorcycle and turned the Harley on.

I tried to run but Dominic grabbed the collar of my shirt, laughing. “No turning back little guy. You’re stuck with the vampires!”

“Let me go!” I tried futilely to get out of his grasp, but I knew it would do me no good. He tossed me gently onto the back of Satine’s bike. He then slowly and carefully picked up Christian, setting him in front of him on the bike.

“Hold tight, Paris. I’m going to be going so fast you could fly off.” I reluctantly put my arms around her waist and felt the motorcycle come to life beneath me. I closed my eyes as I felt us moving. The rumbling of the motorcycle hurt my ears and the exhaust burnt my mouth, but the worst part of it all, was knowing that my best friend was a vampire. After a while, I fell asleep, soothed by the steady humming of the motorcycle.

When I woke up, I was lying on a queen-sized bed in an unfamiliar room. The walls were white; the bed was black like all the rest of the furniture. Only four words stuck in my mind. Satine is a vampire. There was a giant open window with a seat that Satine was sitting on. She had one leg dangling to the floor, while her hair and coat whipping in the wind. I sat up and looked for Christian. When I didn’t see him, I began to panic, when I heard Satine’s voice.

“He’s not in this room. He’s asleep next door.” She didn’t move, just continued to stare out the window. We sat in silence for a long time. I don’t remember how long, I just knew it was a long time. Finally I spoke to her.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” She didn’t move, didn’t say anything, until I spoke again. “Why didn’t you tell us that you were a vampire?” Satine sat still and answered in a slow, cold voice.

“Because I wasn’t allowed to, I. It’s against the Vampiric Law. And if I broke the Vampiric Law, I would be killed, and so would you.” I heard the door open and I entered with another vampire with short black hair and green eyes.

“Satine, we have to get Christian. It’s time for the secret to be revealed.” The green-eyed vampire looked at me and smiled. He walked over slowly and stuck out his hand.

“Hi, I’m Jake. I won’t hurt you, I’m a veggie vampire.” I took his hand and shook it. He smiled again and went to help Dominic pry Satine from where she was sitting at the window. I sat still, watching Dominic and Jake struggle with her. I stood up and walked over. I touched Satine’s shoulder and she looked up at me.

“I want to know, Satine. Let me gain my trust in you again.” She stood up and nodded, walking out the door, and I followed. Jake took a few long strides to catch up with me.

“How did you do that?”

“Do what?”

“You know, get her to move like that, without having to struggle.” Jake’s green eyes seemed to go straight through my skull and into my brain and I started to feel uncomfortable, I looked away.

“She wants her friend back; of course she’ll listen to me.” Dominic chuckled and I looked up at him. He put his red eyes on mine and smiled.
“Don’t worry about Vask, Paris. Satine will make sure he doesn’t hurt you.” His whisper somehow comforted me and I smiled back.

“Thanks, but, will I have to become a vampire?” My question aroused no emotion from Dominic. He remained smiling that serene smile, but said nothing and looked at Satine as she opened a tall, black door.

The four of us walked in to find a room the same exact size and with the same furnishings as the room we were just in. Christian sat the same way Satine was sitting, looking out at the oncoming storm.

“Christian, can you come with us, please?” He ignored Dominic all together.

“Satine do something!” I nudged her, but she stayed as still and as silent as before.

“Come on, Christian. I know you want to know what it’s all about too.” I slowly walked over to him, and like Satine, I put my hand on his shoulder. He looked up at me and smiled.

“I’m afraid, Paris.” Those simple whispers sent a shiver up my spine. I leaned down and looked at him at eye level. I said nothing, but I knew I did something to help Christian’s fear. He stood tall and followed Dominic and Jake out the door, ignoring both Satine and me. I stared ahead, the same thought running through my head repeatedly. My best friends are lost to me…
there is no such thing as good and evil, there is only power...

Your friend is a pretty good writer, but I would suggest some changes.

I had friends, family, and a house, I was perfectly happy! Why did it have to go and change on me? My name is Paris and I’m from Forks, Washington - Unless this is some sort of Twilight fanfic that will never get published, you should change this. It's stealing Stephenie Meyer's idea. I have a lot of friends, but my two best friends are Christian and Satine. Christian totally ignores his name. He is gothic and loves vampires, werewolves, witchcraft, and heavy metal.

“What if I don’t want to?” I smiled and tossed the book to Christian, who caught it with a surprised look on his face before handing it gently to Satine.
There are many commas where they don't need to be or where periods need to be.

“Thank you Christian. I can obviously see who my real friend is!” She gave me a pointed look and I just rolled my eyes.

“No problem. You know what the English homework was?” he opened his planner and whipped out a pen to write with.

“Have you ever wondered where she goes all the time?” I looked quizzically at Christian. “Think about it Paris! She always disappears a lot during the night!”

“Now that you mention it, yeah, I have noticed that! And whenever we suggest going to La Push - also stealing from Twilight - , she always makes excuses!”

As you can see, Christian and I were already suspicious of our friend Satine. It wasn’t until that night that we found out her true nature.

It was after ‘Ninjas From Space’ while I was walking Christian home. We were joking around when we saw them. Thugs with giant Harleys. All of them had blonde hair and piercing green eyes, almost like clones. - Maybe this can be reworded. "All of them had blonde hair and piercing green eyes. They looked almost like clones."

Sorry I couldn't get to everything. It's very long. I hope your friend keeps writing, though!

I thought this one was better. Is this story Sophia's? It had better detail but it is still lacking in detail. Try describing the vampires a little more. Their individual appearences are helpful because Vampire never take on the same visage.

If this Sophia's, tell her good job so far. Just change a few things.
"So, I was thinking, I've always wanted to ride a TaunTaun."
"Ummmm....I asked you answer the math problem on the board."
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did."
"Yeah well, that's your opinion."...............A conversation between my teacher and I.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but you did put it up to be reviewed so I am going to let you have it. Time to rip apart this work.

TO MUCH LIKE TWILIGHT! La push, the veggie vampire, Forks washington. Change it!
Okay now that I got that out here goes:

Other than the similarities to Twilight, the sentance structure is the same. Rearrange your sentances. Most of it was I did this, she did that, blah, blah, blah. Change it up some. Also again, you used to many I's at the beginning of the sentances.

You need more detail. Describe the surroundings a bit more, explain the MC. As of right now the only thing we know about them is that whiny first chapter. Yes, I won't lie, it sounded like a person feeling very sorry for themselves, wallowing in self pity.

Also this has a lot of telling rather than showing. An example of showing and telling:
Telling: She had long black hair.
Showing: Her hair swung below the waist her raven black hair glinting in the sunlight.
See the difference?

Other than that, it seems a little cliche. I would suggest you work quite a bit and it needs a whole lot of editing. Please don't grow discouraged. Good luck and keep writing.
