Appearance: Angel has very sharp features. He has narrow eyes and a sharp jawline with pronounced cheekbones that look more angular than hollow. He has a perpetual grin on his face and always looks like he's up to something no good. For how much he's trained and fought over the years, he's surprisingly scrawny, but his looks are deceiving in the strength he carries. He is 5'7'. He has tanned skin and a few freckles along his cheeks. The center of his eyes are gold and fade out into a pale blue. Angel is a natural blonde, but he recently dyed his hair blue, which has now faded into a soft, muted blue. His hair is messy and grown out, but Angel claims that it's 'in-style' (or whatever that means).
Angel is very fond of casual clothing, but you will never catch him in athleisure. He prefers the grunge streetwear aesthetic, with graphic tees and baggy jeans. He also likes to wear a lot of gold jewelry and has his ears pierced, which he pierced himself, of course.
Thematic: Fire, explosions, bright colors, energy. In other words, "BOOM." And perhaps there’s a subtle fog there too? (One can never really tell).
Aura Color: Angel’s Aura is reminiscent of a fire. The center of his aura is a pale blue, similar to the hue you'd find at the center of a hot flame. And, just like a fire, yellow expands out in flame-like patterns.

Fighting Style: Angel is most comfortable with close combat. The closer he can get to his enemy, the better. He starts out aggressive right off the bat, catching his opponents off-guard and breaking down their stamina before they can even get a hit in. He knows how to play dirty tricks to give himself the upper hand. He's not afraid to use any means necessary to beat his opponent, and that means verbal attacks are on the table, too.
Armor: Light to medium armor. Angel cares more about aesthetics than actual protection. Additionally, he hates armor that feels heavy or restricts his movement. Not because it hinders his fighting abilities, but because he hates being confined.

Personality: Everyone must wonder at least a little bit about how Angel even got into Lux Academy. While he's by no means incapable, he doesn't seem to be the brightest tool in the shed. Little do they know it's all just a front. He knows that he needs to do well to become a Darksbane. But what's a little fun in the classroom, right? It's not like it'd kill anyone!
Angel doesn't take becoming a Darksbane nearly as seriously as his classmates. He loves to joke around and have fun. Angel wants to experience things, he wants to live life. Besides, who else is going to bring the fun to Lux Academy?
Angel has historically surrounded himself with many friends and people. He is the definition of an extrovert and isn't afraid to befriend new people. He's a very touchy person, which often results in unknowingly overstepping personal boundaries with others. He's also not afraid to speak his mind, and he's bluntly honest when asked for his input.
Personal Strengths: Angel will be loyal to the end. Once he's on your side, he stays on your side, and he'll have your back on anything. As long as you don't wrong him or his friends, he'll stick with you, no matter the vile things you've done.
In battle, Angel refuses to give up. He won't stop fighting until he's either passed out or dead. He will persevere as long as he has something to fight for.
Personal Weaknesses: Angel can never take anything seriously. He's the kind of guy who will laugh at a funeral (if something funny can be found). And by all means, he will hunt for something to laugh at. One might think Angel has nothing going on in that mind of his—other than hilariously awful jokes. While that's often the case, Angel also uses humor as both a mask and a coping strategy. Can't handle the stress of training to be a Darksbane? Well, Angel will be sure to crack a dark joke to lighten the mood.
Due to the fact that Angel's attunement (shock) allows him to deal damage when attacked, he tends to put himself under the line of fire when he gets desperate in battle. He's not afraid to take a punch, but this self-sacrificing tendency has given him some bad injuries over the years.

Backstory: Angel was born into a wealthy family in Aurturia. His parents are co-CEOs of a well-known shipping company in Glinthaven. He is the youngest of three children in his family and was practically spoiled rotten as a kid, which gave him the (slightly) entitled and cocky attitude he has now.
From a young age, Angel has been expected to become a Darksbane, both from his parent's expectations and because of his natural affinity to magic and combat. Angel has never been resentful of these expectations. In fact, he wants to become a Darksbane (as nonchalant as he acts about the whole idea). Angel knows that his parents have always wanted one of their children to become a Darksbane. They enrolled him in Feren Academy, where he attended from the ages of 5-13. However, he was unexpectedly expelled from the school in the middle of his eighth year. Rumors quickly spread through Feren, but Angel's parents paid the school to keep things quiet, so the buzz soon died down.
After Angel's years at Feren, he turned to independent studies. He almost disappeared from Feren altogether during that time. He was only allowed contact with his family, but that didn't mean he followed those rules. He often snuck out to attend parties or to meet up with friends. He was careful to avoid those from Feren, of course. He felt quite 'rebellious' in this phase of his life, but he still worked hard on his studies, knowing extra effort would be needed to get into a Major Academy—if any of them would take him at all.
Angel applied to Lux Academy many times, but it was only this year that he was actually accepted. Even though it went against his parents' morals, in a last-ditch effort, they bribed one of the higher-ups of Lux Academy to give him an extra advantage at getting into the Academy.

Personal Secret: The real reason Angel got expelled is a tight-lipped secret that Angel knows to keep quiet about. Angel and his parents knew that he'd have no chance of becoming a Darksbane if the reason became public knowledge.
When Angel was first learning to spar with real weapons, an accident occurred involving a bow and a classmate standing in the way. Angel doesn't remember much of the details, only the look on his classmate's face when he died and the blood on his own hands. Sometimes, Angel can still see the blood on his hands, and sometimes, if he stares for too long, he can see the boy's face on the ground again. Angel tries not to think about it too much. Too many emotions stir up, and too many unresolved memories come to mind. Angel hasn't told anyone or even spoken to anyone about the situation, not even his parents. Feren Academy had to tell them the situation.
Personal Fear: When asked, Angel will tell you that he hates being alone. Sure, that's a part of it. But what he's really scared of is people abandoning him. He's scared that everyone will find out what a truly malevolent person he is, and they'll leave him.
Other: Those who attended Feren Academy know who Angel is and have heard copious amounts of rumors surrounding Angel's expulsion. While only a few saw the actual incident occur, the most prevalent rumor was the truth—that Angel had killed someone.
Additionally, after the incident occurred, Angel switched from long-range weapons to close combat. He hasn’t even looked at a bow since he was 13.
