Thane glanced back at him, incredulous. He needed to be completely silent. They both did.

Thane’s eyes widened, and she took a small step back. She hoped Railyn had the sense to stay completely silent, and to stop whatever he was doing with the magic ...

Thane hesitantly felt her foot along the ground, then said, “Can you hear me? We need to stick together.” yes!

Thane hissed, “Shh.” She was completely still. She was basically blind in the darkness, but she was used to that with her fog, so she was trying to ignore it ...

Thane said, “how should I know? You’re the one who drew the sigil.”

“That was obvious,” Thane said dryly, trying not to show how rattled she was. “I meant, what did you just do with that sigil?”

Thane blinked, catching her breath. “What did you just do?”

Thane felt a sudden flare-up of magic, so strong she pulled back, mind feeling burned at the sudden spike. She couldn’t tell if she should add power to help him ...

“Railyn!” Thane shouted. She tried to reach out, feel his aura, not to take it, but just to know he was still there.

“What did you do?” Thane shouted, but she could barely hear her own voice.

yessss XD Instead of returning the smile though, Thank was frowning down at the paper. “Umm… are you sure that’s the right—“

Thane squinted down at the paper in the dark, feeling increasing uneasiness. Maybe they should’ve had someone who actually knew this here to make sure they were doing this correctly.

Thane’s eyes narrowed in concentration, watching in case she needed to try to intervene somehow.

“Be careful,” Thane said. She wasn’t sure it NEEDED to be said, but it couldn’t hurt.

“Should be,” Thane said.
