She has been to multiple correctional boarding schools for her anger problems but none of them are quite like this one. Her first day at this new school she meets Petra who has tons of scars on her arms from getting into fights. Petra shows her around the school and tells her about all of the terrible teachers and classes. Then, she sees Damon in the courtyard at school and notices that he also looks a bit different like Petra does. She also meets Kathryn and Jasper and the four of them all seem to be really good friends and they all have something strangely different about them. But she's wrong about them being friends because they couldn't be further from it. She thinks she's just living a normal school life trying to get rid of her anger problem but she has no idea that she has just been caught in the middle of one of the biggest supernatural battles in history
