My novel follows four children navigating the society they were born into, each seeing the world through a different lens.
Enoli, our protagonist, begins to uncover the realities of their society through the eyes of a child. Alongside her cousin, Yoki, she grows up alongside Lucille and Carter Abbot, the children of a wealthy family. Despite their friendship, the four children inhabit very different worlds—ones shaped by privilege, expectation, and the boundaries imposed upon them.
But some boundaries exist for a reason. And some truths are better left undiscovered.
The Fence is a story about childhood, inequality, identity, and the price of freedom. 🌿
