Nic nods. "Beats being complicated." He wonders when the right time to make a move would be...

"I like pizza." Nic says, smiling back.

"So," Nic turns to Jackie, "what's your favorite food?"

Nic shakes his head at them.

"I think it's weird that we're talking about this." Nic says, sipping his drink.

"I don't remember." He shrugs. "I made an effort to block that person out of my mind."

"Eleven... I think." Jace says.

"It wasn't funny, yet you're smiling." Nic states.

"Let's just say I was a little distracted at that time." He says.
