Jace absentmindedly crawls to Rayah and holds her, kissing her forehead.

Nic jumps on Spinx's back and makes them fall backwards

"Uh, yeah," Nic says. Jace goes catatonic again.

... Okay then. Right before that a girl walks in and takes her place in the corner, waiting for something.

Jace hugs Rayah back, in wait for his father's reply.

Jace's heart fluttered at Rayah's words, kissing the top of her head.

Nic stands in front of Jace defensively and looks to Rayah, wondering if she would fight for them all too.
