The brothers laugh at her and Nic claps, congratulating her efforts.

"Whoa, 'sup now, kid?" Nic asks, watching her hug his brother with a smile.

Jace nods, kissing her. "Alright."

Jace smiles at Rayah's thinking, squeezing her hand. "Just come back."

Nic sighs. "You bother me sometimes, kid." Jace kicks him, shaking his head at the comment.

"And I'm stronger than you and Jace put together." Nic says.

Jace nods, glancing at Nic. "How about I come with you?" Nic asks. "I need to kick some ass and no bastard gets away from hurting a little girl."

"You're gonna leave again?" Jace asks, sympathetic but afraid of going through the sanity-losing time he'd have to wait to get her back.
