I like this, a pretty good start. That king seems like a freakin jerk though, is he the antagonist? Ah well, i'll find out soon... The only error i notiticed ...

This is good. Just a few grammer errors is all. A really good start, beginnings are hard for me personally but you've got a good one. I'm gonna read more.
