“…I think so?” The tavern had been a bizarre interaction from start to finish. And the whole ghost thing was… unplanned for.

Ky glanced at her. “….I dunno. He didn’t come back when she was measuring me.”

“Yep.” She nodded. At least fatten back up.

“Yes.” She agreed. “…and hopefully it fits well. She’s going to make it a little big.”

“Boiled leather,” Ky said. “It’s not gonna be ready for a long time, though. I’ll already be home.” Though something in her gut told her that wasn’t true. That Tomhas ...

Ky decided to linger with Sera and Rickard. It felt awkward with Tomhas now. She didn’t know why.

Ky felt for the bone to be sure it was still in her pocket then buried her hands in her coat pockets. Maybe it was an ex or something. Or ...

She followed after him quietly, not saying anything else. She was curious. But it wasn’t any of her business.

She furrowed her brow. What did that response mean? “…oh.” It meant she shouldn’t ask more, probably.

She started after him, kicking herself for going into auto-pilot. She knew he didn’t like it. She didn’t like doing things he didn’t like. And yet she’d slipped up. Why? ...
