“Why does it sound like that?” She didn’t like it at all.

She flinched again, speeding up to get closer to him and the guards. “What is it?”

Ky started, looking around in terror. What the—?

Ky shrugged but didn’t say anything else.

“Hm…” she considered it for a moment. “I don’t know. Maybe.”
