She took a deep breath and braced herself as she approached. Was he mad at her for going to Gaius? Maybe.

“Thank you.” She dipped her head to him then turned and started back down the hall the other direction. Now to deal with Narfi.

Ky slowed, not sure whether to accompany him the full way or branch off. Would it embarrass Tomhas to know that Ky knew he was upset? Didn’t want that.
