“Some.” She shrugged. Not most. “It’s been very interesting for sure. Um… I started swordsmanship lessons with Captain Bay.”

“Oh.” She hesitated, not liking the answer. “Well… hopefully that wasn’t a mistake on his part… though I’m glad to see you again. I missed you.”

“Oh… why’d you leave him?” She furrowed her brow slightly. What if something happened to him in this past week? She had a pang of anxiety.

Ky nodded. “How near is he? Can you sense him?”

“I’m glad he’s okay,” she said. “Thank you for keeping him safe.”

“Oh!” she brightened a little. “He’s coming back now, right? Soon?”

She nodded, then hesitated. “… He cut his leg off, though. Not sure if you were here for that part.”

“They just had a fight.” She shook her head. “Probably shouldn’t get into it; he’ll be okay.”

“…he’s having a rough day,” she admitted. “His friend was mean to him earlier… but otherwise — overall — he’s okay.”

Ky thought for a moment. “Tomhas came here.”

Ky sighed. “Good? I guess…”

Ky looked at him miserably.

“Why would he be dreaming about me ?” She pouted. “I’m not even Northern; not really. I want it to stop. I want him to stop.”

“I don’t know.” She shrank, looking very, very small despite her mountain of coats. “Die, I guess. I don’t know how to fix it.”

“Maybe.” She frowned and buttoned up her coats, looking away. “I don’t want… I hope not.”
