“Yeah.” She nodded and then pulled away slightly to shuck off her coats; it was too hot by the fire for all the layers she had on.

“They do say opposites attract,” Aeron said with a little smile. “What are they like?”

“Good,” she said gently. “I trained with Captain Bay.”

“I don’t think so,” he agreed with a shake of his head. “I’d like to, though.”

“Sure.” She sat up and took one, then leaned back against the wall, their shoulders still touching but her no longer leaning against him. She felt like she was doing ...

“Ah, nice.” Aeron nodded. “You expecting a visit soon?”

She wasn’t good at this. But she actively focused on sitting very still and not fidgeting or talking. Being who he needed her to be for him right then.

“Where is he?”

“Okay.” She rested her head against his shoulder, hoping the proximity would help him feel better, too.

“Nice for them.” He nodded.

“I’m sorry,” she said gently, holding his cup out to him. “Wanna talk about it?”

Aeron chuckled, swinging on top of Aenyra. “Does he need the deafening, too?”

“…Rough day?” She asked gently, not able to stay shut up.

“Sounds good. I’ll need to stash Aenyra somewhere, too. Don’t need to risk two horses.”

"Same." Aeron walked to his horse who was still tied up out front and untied her, patting her on the neck.
