She blushed a little, still not looking at him. "They were a little confused but... I mean... why would any of them be mad about it?"

"Seven--?" Aeron's eyebrows shot up. "Holy hell."

"...no." She shook her head, then took a sip of her tea, not looking at him. Narfi was her own problem, not Tomhas's.

Aeron glanced over at her. Did the snort mean he wasn't even close? "...Seven?"

"Yup." Ky nodded, patting her pocket. "I can still see and hear them and talk to them but can't touch them and they can't touch me."

She forced a little smile and dipped her head. "Yeah."

"Mm... three?"

"No." She furrowed her brow at him, then realized the miscommunication and relaxed a little. He wasn't accusing her; she needed to chill. "He invited me in and had ink ...

"I don't. Just Aenyra, and she comes with me."

"Yup." He nodded. "And I don't feel guilty if I need to travel. Not much upkeep needed."

"I knocked," she said defensively.

“Heh.” He smirked. “It’s not much. Basically just a little hut. But it’s mine.”

“Writing letters?” She shrugged. “He fell asleep in his office earlier, so I guess not sleeping much.”

“Yup.” Aeron nodded. “The back corners butt up against one another and I’m tucked back into a little pocket back there.”
