“Sure.” She forced a little smile and pushed herself to her feet. “Thanks for coming down.”

“Apple, please. And yes with honey.”

“Okay.” She nodded, glancing over at him. That was concerning. But she was running out of things to say, so it was probably just as well.

“What are the options?” He bent and pulled off his own boots, then sat them neatly next to hers and followed her towards the kitchen.

(Oh gosh) “Yeah.” She sighed, glumly forcing herself to take another sip of tea. “I just hope he feels better soon.”
