Ky nodded emphatically. “And Tomhas. You shouldn’t feed a child to your monstrous spawn… or a teenager.” She didn’t appreciate it.

Ky nodded in agreement. “He’s a terrible father.”

Ky snorted. “Clearly.”

Ky nodded. “How does he think he can redeem himself after all that?”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I wouldn’t know,” she snorted, casting an annoyed glance after where he’d disappeared.

She looked at him flatly. “It’s his job to worry about what he can control. Which isn’t this.”

“It’s foolish to tell Gaius about what happened,” she argued. “He’s just going to fret.”

Ky nodded. “…Hopefully Sera decides not to be stupid.” She wasn’t hopeful.

“Okay.” She nodded. “…Granted I didn’t really see him in my room. Not enough to recognize him as Narfi.”
