Riley She swallows, "A man person."

Val I lean against him, coughing again.

Riley She buries her face in my red hair, not crying...yet, "He try to take me." "Who?" I ask, stroking her hair back. "Him," she simply says.

Val I shake my head, trying to sit up.

Riley She screams and I take her in my arms, "Shhh...It's alright." She wakes and I swallow, "What happened?" She doesn't answer, making a cry face.

Val I sigh, "I just did."

Riley "N-No," she frowns, stirring again, "D-Dont." I lose my smile and study her, swallowing.

Val I watch him, feeling as if my head is going to explode again.

Riley Mariah stirs in her sleep and I look down, her mumbling something.

Val I glance up at him, "Hi."

Riley I glance up at him, smiling.

Val I glance down at the bird before moaning and wrapping my arms around my stomach.

Riley Mariah stays asleep across my stomach and I brush her hair back.

Val I wake moments later and cough, finding a bird in my arms.

Riley I open my eyes and watch him walk there, flashing a smile
