About Lucrezia

Original Bio
(written when I was fourteen)

I'm named after Lucrezia Borgia (Google her, folks), my favorite book is The Silence of the Lambs, I love animals, I'm blond but not stupid, and I started writing when I was about seven… well, writing with actual words and sentences. Before that it was just scribbles.

People say I'm gorgeous. I say I'm badass.

"I'm not bad… I'm just drawn that way." - Jessica Rabbit

Updated Bio
(written when I was twenty)

I kind of want to erase my original bio from existence, because it is very cringe-inducing to me now (except for the part about The Silence of the Lambs—that book slaps). I'm going to keep it though, but only for nostalgic purposes.

Anyway, here are some other moderately interesting factoids about me that are (I hope) less obnoxious:

I am the resident Disney princess expert of YWS, having written multiple princess-related pieces for the site and many forum posts about them. (Keep in mind I joined the site when I was an emotionally stunted fourteen-year-old. The princesses were my goddesses.) I am, at the time of this writing, a college student, Lawd help me. I'm only sporadically active on YWS these days, but I do pop in from time to time. I'm also a professional editor (by which I mean that people actually pay me to edit things for them), and I created and ran my own literary magazine for a few years (but had to end it due to time constraints—a tragic blow to the culture, I know).

Since my previous bio ended with a pithy, non-sequitur quote, I'm going to follow that formula for this one, as well.

“The need to write comes from the need to make sense of one's life and discover one's usefulness.”
- John Cheever
