Ignorance

{It’s like a Walmart brand version of “Trees..?”} Remy glanced at Virgil, before continuing to eat up.

“...Yeah?” Judex carefully took the jacket and put it on.

Remy blinked awake after a bit. He noticed some seeds by him. Seeds? He carefully ate at them.

By morning, Remy was sound asleep on Virgil’s window frame.

Remy blushed slightly, looking down at Virgil. He was confused and nervous. What if he woke up again? Then he’d think he was insane and call the police or something... ...

Remy huffed. He went back into his humanoid form and laid Virgil down in bed.

Judex shrugged. “Fair enough.” He shivered slightly. It was burning hot down in hell, which he was used to. But it was only about 65 degrees up here.

Judex raised a brow. “Go on?”

Remy frowned and butted Virgil with his little head, as if trying to tell him, ‘Don’t fall asleep against the window, go back to bed!’

Judex blinked. “...Oh, uh... well, that’s good...” He thought for a moment. “...Hey, what’s it like up here?”

Remy chirped quietly and perched onto Virgil’s finger.

Remy looked up at Virgil, a bit startled. He tilted his head.

Remy was looking around him. This world was so different from the one he’d come from...

Eventually, Remy just flew up to the other’s window. He wanted to comfort Virgil.

“Oh, they ran out... so they kinda sent a few demons down to be guardians. This doesn’t happen too often, apparently.”
