“A bit, I guess... thanks.”

“Oh- sorry.” Virgil let go.

“Mm...” Remy cupped Virgil’s face and looked him over. ...He doesn’t know about personal boundaries. “Looks pretty red to me.”

“Mhm...” Remy noticed, and tilted his head. “...Why’s your face all red?”

“But uh, yeah. I’m your guardian demon. Surprise.”

“Huh? Oh, I have no idea. His guardian angel was pretty cute, though.”

“...Oh, uh, I was the bird.”

“...They didn’t have enough angels... so they made me your guardian... you’re kind of stuck with a demon...”

Remy carefully took off his sunglasses, revealing his red eyes. He figured that would be a dead giveaway that he was a demon.

Remy tensed up. He sighed a little, and fluttered above the ground, before turning back into his regular form. “...Kind of.”
