I was born in Indiana, and grew up just outside of Detroit.
When I was a year old, I climbed out of my crib, fell, and now I have a fine white scar on my forehead ;). This and innumerable other climbing escapades caused my parents to despair of my continued survival, so to insure said survival they taught me to climb, because I obviously wasn't going to stop, so I might as well do it safely ;).
When I was 15 I discovered TeenPact, an annual government class lasting one week and located in the capital of many states in the U.S.A. I attended until I graduated high school and could no longer attend, and it taught me to be involved in my government, to make a difference.
At the beginning of this year of college, I met dragonfphoenix through mutual friends. We have been officially dating for 2 months now *happy dance*.
So, I'm a writer, a climber, a TeenPacter, a college student, and a girlfriend, but before any of that I am a born-again believer in the redemptive power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Interests
Drawing, reading, writing, tree climbing, cuddling, baking (eating cookie dough ;) ), swinging in my hammock, playing piano, photography, organizing (real life Tetris!), being a complete and total spazz ;)
Occupation
Nanny, college student, keeping a certain SOMEONE in trouble ;)

Every time I’ve gotten feedback that was hard to take it was usually hard to take because there was truth in it and I didn’t like that (or didn’t want to receive it). That’s not to say all harsh feedback is good or that we should be harsh for harshness’ sake, but learning to absorb truth without letting it break your inner core/break you is a lifelong skill that keeps your mind elastic and open to learning.
