So I've been storybooking for quite a while and now have a bit of an urge to start my own. The problem is since this will be my first one I'm sure I'll need help.

It's set in Chicago during the 1930s/1960s and is based on two rival crime families vying for power in one city. Each family is involved in the bootlegging and cat house trade, and each have connections in high places and so they can't be touched by the police. However, they all have one thing in common: each of them has a rat in their group feeding information to an unknown source (a specialist sheriff intent on bringing both families down). There's plenty of murder, love, betrayal and mystery along the way.
It's 'The Godfather' mixed with 'Boardwalk Empire' and a bit of 'Romeo and Juliet'.
