I don't know if I'm posting this in the right area but one of the mods can move it if they wish to do so.
I've been writing since I was a small child but, up until December 2010, I didn't really stick to projects much? And I never had any friends who enjoyed writing or reading as much as I did so I was deprived of that relationship you can have with someone who enjoys what you do.
So now, when I write my work, I don't think 'oh, maybe such-and-such will want to read it...' or 'huh, maybe this person will like to read it' because I simply didn't know anyone who would want to read my work.
Now you may be wondering what the point of this post is.
The point is, the only books I read are ones by published authors but I don't have anything by people who aren't edited, my peers as such and I've asked some of the 'clever' people I know to read my work and I feel like I should give back a little.
So anyone who has a finished book or extracts or anything that they want me to read, then please, feel free to tell me about it.
I have do have one thing to say. I'd like it if you could give me the entire word document so I can then put it onto my iPod so it would make it easier for me to read it.
