I find myself at a crossroads,
a decision from which my life will
never be the same.
One path holds the safety of loneliness,
of this passion dying ever slowly,
seeking in vain the ice which the fire so
desires to melt.
The other,
a path which has destroyed this heart before,
one which is so precarious,
so dangerous that I would be foolish to follow it
a third time.
But that path of danger,
whose prize may well lead to my destruction I must take.
For the Ice Queen beckons.
Her soul,
hidden beneath that hatred,
that facade that blocks the world calls to me.
It's cold embrace beckons for my soul,
and what is left of my heart.
The Ice Queen to others,
someone as I, who sees the world's
reality with a knife's edge, to me.
I love her,
this I cannot deny.
Truly see past that facade,
and that cry for help,
however slight.
That plead for someone who understands
her hatred,
and anger with the world.
The Ice Queen is the one,
whose soul entwined would be bliss.
Separate:
lonely,
angry,
sorrowful,
dark.
Together:
perfection,
bliss,
warmth,
and a reality that
does not cut everything
with a razor's edge.
The Ice Queen,
my love.
