Spoiler
I originally wrote this poem in Swedish but to be able to share it here I rewrote it in to english which made some lines sound a little clichée... but yaah; here it is xD

You have to wake up!

Awake the sleeping children,
Open all closed eyes,
Kill all beautiful dreams.
You have to wake up!

No stars are shining here tonight,
The moon is dressed in invisible light,
I’m crying rain and bleeding pain,
I’ve lost my heart and gone insane.

Dance on the sleeping meadows,
Open all closed flower buds,
Light up the beautiful night,
You have to wake up!

I cry blood and it’s raining tears,
Dark winter nights awaken my fears,
I’ve looked at every single line,
But this piece lacks of sunshine.

Kiss the sleeping beauties,
Open all closed doors,
Speak to the sweet silence,
You have to wake up!

I can't fall asleep,
I can't close my eyes,
I can't dream sweet,
I'm always dead awake.

But like a sleeping child,
With closed eyes,
My dreaming heart,
Just won't wake up!
"Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice." - Robert Frost

I love how this poem makes the reader feel trapped in the scene. It's a really good poem but sometimes i think the point can be a little bit lost.

Dance on the sleeping meadows,
Open all closed flower buds,
Light up the beautiful night

I took the poem to be about death and not being able to wake up and someone trying to bring them back around, but this stanza threw me a little. I like the twist at the end also, i think it leaves the reader with an after thought which is obviously the aim. Sorry if i have interpreted it wrong, if i have could you please let me know and i'll review it again :)

You have to wake up!The grammar seems odd and the tense seems to be changing.

I love the idea and your punctuation and rhyming was gr8. Hope I help.:D

i enjoyed your poem but i kinda got lost towards the end. it just keot repeating in a way that loses my interests. i think that if you take away the ! at the end of the "you have to wake up" it would make it a little better. i am sorry if this wasnt the type of review you were looking for but it is how i feel about you poem.
Do you really know the difference between Love and Hurt?

Honest question, do you normally do this? I think you should stop if so. No offense, but I'm of the opinion translated poems across languages lose very distinctive spirits and meanings in the other language. Also, post some of those Swedish poems up then. Just my opinion.

Awake the sleeping children,
Open all closed eyes,
Kill all beautiful dreams.
You have to wake up!

No stars are shining here tonight,
The moon is dressed in invisible light,
I’m crying rain and bleeding pain,
I’ve lost my heart and gone insane.

Dance on the sleeping meadows,
Open all closed flower buds,
Light up the beautiful night,
You have to wake up!

I cry blood and it’s raining tears,
Dark winter nights awaken my fears,
I’ve looked at every single line,
But this piece lacks of sunshine.

Kiss the sleeping beauties,
Open all closed doors,
Speak to the sweet silence,
You have to wake up!

I can't fall asleep,
I can't close my eyes,
I can't dream sweet,
I'm always dead awake.

But like a sleeping child,
With closed eyes,
My dreaming heart,
Just won't wake up!

Yeah, something is lost in the repetition here, the speaking voice in English seems to be Mother Goose and nursery rhyme. You tell me: is this better in Swedish? If yes, then don't bother with these translations if you think they don't make sense. At least offer the Swedish original with this. If no, then explain to me why the two differ, etc. If you're not sure, then take more time before posting. Because the problem is this; between the two languages the poem becomes almost two different pieces altogether. Metaphors do not, cannot, will not translate. It's about world view and dimension of viewing reality in this world we all inhabit. No two cultures view it the same way.

So Demoness, take that in mind, because while I could review this...it feels like its' been torn in half and hung on a noose until the nectar of life dribbled from the toes of the poem so the children could wash in it on their birthday. Pretty twisted right? Respect your work and the languages you use to write them down; they have unique and independent qualities apart from each other, not in unison.

Opportunity does not knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door.
