Authors Note: Hey, I'm back!! Man, It's been a while since I've posted anything! I had to write this poem about Helen of Troy for a school project, but I wanted to post it on here before I turned it in. Please keep in mind that I'm very bad at poetry and this is only a ruff draft while reading this. I will warn you now, its not very good, but that’s why I'm posting it on here. Please leave a comment! Without feed back, I can't get better. Thanks!
What have you done, Helen of Troy?
Oh, Helen of Troy,
What have you done?
You abandoned your duty,
You decided to run.
You put matters of heart
Before matters of home,
You disobeyed your father,
You left him alone.
You had your people’s trust
in the palm of your hand,
Now you have lost it
To a boy from a foreign land.
You have started a war,
Over nothing at all,
You destroyed your country,
You caused it to fall.
Because of you,
The Greeks have won,
Oh, Helen of Troy,
What have you done?
