It’s like looking into a fogged mirror
And I know she’s there
She’s in there somewhere
I can find her, I can try
I can see straight up to the sky
But she wouldn’t go there
Up is easy, and she don’t care
Simple isn’t her game
She plays for keeps, she plays for gain
& She had the key to the city of Deceit
She used to run it all, street by street
It all turned on her, brick by brick
She laughed and pulled another card trick
They hesitated and handed her a blank check
She looked once and proceeded to cut the deck
“If I’m going out, I’m not shutting down.”
She smiled and took off her crown
And then she dropped off the map of Deceit
Some say she’s remodeling the town of Incomplete
Whatever the case, I lost her when my guard was down
She knows these roads and I need directions out of this town

I liked this poem a lot. In the beginning it was kind of hard to see where you were going with it, but but by the end it was all cleared up, the last line especially helped me understand, or helped me clarify my view, at least. But all the lines were necessary for the poem to move on, I guess. Anyway, I really liked it! Keep writing! :D

See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories. Ask for no guarantees, ask for no security.
