Spoiler
I wrote this for my mom on mothers day, it's kind of corny, but I just wanted to see what others thought of it. Enjoy.!
You’re the thing that keeps me going, when everything else is gone.
You’re the one person that believed in me whenever I was wrong.
Your so much more than I could ever as for and you’re the reason for my smile
And when everyone else turns their back on me yours is the first number I dial
I never want to loose you if I ever did I would loose myself
You helped me fight for what I stood for whenever I needed help
You’re the reason I keep going when everything is falling apart
You’re the definition of love and the beat to my heart
Your smile is sweeter than a sunset and clearer than the blue sky
At times I wonder how you love a fool like me and I would like to ask you why
You’re the hand I hold when I need a friend
You’re the person I turn to and you’ll be there till the end
I never want to see you hurt or to ever see you cry
You’re the reason I live and you give me my wings so I can fly
You don’t know how much you mean to me
And I live to show you everyday
Just how incredible you really are and how with each word you take my breath away
I want you to know you’re my sunshine
You’re my clock when I run out of time
You’re the salt to my pepper
And you’re the sun to my stormy weather
You’re a beautiful person
And you cant even see
All the great things you have done for me
So now I would just like to thank you and apologize for all of my wrong
This poem is for you I love you mom.

This is truly beautiful, though you're right: it is a little corny and there are some clichés but it's still very sweet. You need only to touch up on some punctuations like adding a few commas and full stops in some areas.
Add a 'k' to 'as' in the line:
"You're all I could ever ask for"

Again, it's very sweet and it's a beautiful gift for a mother!
when she needs to shelter from reality she takes a dip in my daydreams

The poem is really sweet and strikes a chord. Your mom must be really proud. The rhyming was good. It was one of easy to read yet touching poems.

But there were a couple of spelling mistake which I'm you will attend to next time. And according to me the lines were a bit too long for comfort. But all in all a great poem for - I'm sure- a Great mom.

Keep it up! =)

This poem is awesome, not corny at all. It puts in words the exact feelings I have for my mother. I love her dearly, and this poem is a great gift for a mom. You should publish it, it would be awesome as a song, too. there are some spelling mistakes, but I'm not in the picky mood. I saw what you meant, no I actually heard it, like a song. This poem made my day!!!!
