I've never been worth a dime,
but you call me queen.
I'm nothing but a joker here to make your mind reel.
You pay me to rule, to laugh, to sing,
but what about the pain?
I slit my wrists to watch the blood fall,
in precious pools on the floor.
I walk on glass to feel the scars,
and you see them as marks of beauty.
You worship my ugly,
my scars, my tears.
I'm nothing, but your worst fears.
You are more than the choices that you've made, you are more than the sum of your past mistakes. You are more than the problems you create, You'v been remade.

Without meaning to be harsh... it sounds very emo... Slightly navel gazing...:
I slit my wrists to watch the blood fall,
in precious pools on the floor

Try to be more extrospective? Maybe consider the affect of your emotions, their place in the world around you- it would make your poetry much more interesting.

Having said that, the emotion behind your poem is palpable. You're very honest, and that's admirable and a quality I think should be valued in your work.

Keep writing!

Your poetry was vary moving and expressive.I think you did wonderful and I would love to hear more from you.
IHI means hi backwards, forwards, vertical, horizontal, and any other way and is pronounced by saying the individual letters, like so I H I. I came up with IHI as my thing, don't take it or I will send a scary monster after you ; D

This was actually wrote for a poetry contest. It is meant to summarize the song Hurt by Johnny Cash. The dark parts of poem are actually very real in the song.
You are more than the choices that you've made, you are more than the sum of your past mistakes. You are more than the problems you create, You'v been remade.
