Powerful but Calm
Strong and fearless
Spiritual and social
Graceful and flawless,
Like a butterfly
You

Yourself, the person I call me
The person that knows you inside and out... literally
The person you know to be unknown, not able to answer
The uncontrollable questions…
You

How predictable and untamed
How shy but is the least possible suspect of being out there
Outside the box
A box full of mystery and action
Action that is possible to make any person wonder
How does this connect?
It’s all you…
The unknown and the fearless and flawless
The only original
You

Hey Klem. :3 Here to review.

I read the title of your poem and for some reason, felt inclined to read it and review it for you. So, here goes:

The first thing that I wanted to say was that this poem had its good parts. There were original areas, and most of it flowed well. There were parts that were actually gripping, and all of those things were good.

However, I didn't find that this was the case with a lot of the rest of the poem. Your first stanza, for example, almost made me exit the page. (Just being honest there.) It was a little to cliche... and ontop of that it was boring and for the most part, just plain cheesey. Especially these lines:

Graceful and flawless,
Like a butterfly

I could almost see one of my old classmates flapping his wings and making a stupid face while reading that. (He's odd, I'll give you that - but that's honestly what it made me think of.) It's a line in poetry that people will mock and make fun of, because it's corny and cliche and just... not a good line to use in poetry as a general rule. First stanza? I wasn't a fan, I'm sorry to say.

Another thing that I noticed was in the third stanza:

How predictable and untamed
How shy but is the least possible suspect of being out there

The second line there is far too... wordy. It's hard to read, and it completely destroyed the entire flow of your poem. Just that one line, and the flow was ruined. Descriptive and imagery-ful is good, but wordy is not. You have to balance it out a bit. I would suggest re-wording and rephrasing that line completely.

The 'outside the box' line was cliche, but you put a bit of a twist on it. It was the ending of this poem that I got enjoyment from. The last few lines were somewhat gripping, and they obviously held some sort of emotion. The concept of this poem is good, but it could use a bit of touching up. ;) Overall though, I honestly did like this, considering that there were a few things I didn't like. (That makes sense if you don't think about it.)

Keep writing,

Hi, regarding the poem I don't really feel emotionally connected to it. I feel like it is dry and you should put more sentiment in it . It just seems like you put a cluster of adjectives together to describe "You" but you don't really give out much.

I feel like I heard this type of stanza a lot:

Powerful but Calm
Strong and fearless
Spiritual and social
Graceful and flawless,
Like a butterfly
You

What do you mean with this part:

The unknown and the fearless and flawless
The only original
You

The unknown and the fearless? Are you talking about a person because to be honest that seems to me like you are describing a greater power. If from what I understood you are talking about a person I believe you should say more, you know is the little things we do like bits of puzzles that make us who we are.

To conclude I believe the poem lacks of originality and does not express much. I apologize if I have been a bit harsh but this is just my simple honest opinion. I look forward to read more of your poems.
